There are double standards in every subject or field that I can think of, but they are ignored because of a persons opinion on the victim of the insults. (Depending on whether they are deserving or not).


Seeing that sakura's character is for the most part frowned upon, having many double standards of her own, it's not surprising that people wouldn't mind insults directed at her character as opposed to insults directed at hinata, seeing that hinata has never done anything morally wrong for the entire manga.

True, as the idea of moral conduct is an opinion in itself.

I didn't mean to imply a parallel, I'm simply pointing out the common double standards that aren't frowned upon in the boldest way possible so that you would be able to relate to it (it being a broad and common idea). The Idea being that the treatment of a person will always be effected by their appearance, personality, charisma actions and (usually only irl).

I believe it is a mix of both "bandwagon" and "double standards"

Coming from someone who adores both girls, it's sad to see this never ending competition between them that just seems to be ignited by little petty things. I think everyone should just focus on saying positive things about their favorite characters instead of wasting time saying negative things about characters they hate.

Her character isn't even very complex. Your being ignorant if you think that all the people who don't like sakura's character are haters.
