The math of Gai's speed shouldn't work like that.

Kinetic energy is proportional to the square of speed. 100 times the strength can be assumed to mean 100 times the energy.

And 100 times the energy means only 10 times the speed (square root of 100).

But anyway, real world physics will never apply in manga LOL.

I was going to make a thread debunking this topic. You of all people posted the dbz official power levels. 1) People in naruto have been able to move in the blink of an eye over short distances for a while. Only a couple of people have actually managed to approach the sound barrier in terms of straight line speed (ay, gai/lee, and bm naruto have certainly come close). But i think you're forgetting just how strong people in Dragonball were. In goku's first martial arts tournament against jackie chun (I believe his power level was less than 180) he moved (over an extended period of time) too fast to be seen. He became much stronger after climbing korins tower, and even STRONGER after drinking the sacred holy water. Goku then got several times stronger when he trained with kami before facing piccolo. As seen when goku fought tien, tien focused primarily on his speed, and goku still was running circles around him. As strong as goku was then, he was only around 300 power level. Official data shows that korin had a power level of 790. Hell, master rosher was only around the 200 mark and he blew up the moon. I'm sorry, but naruto has not crossed dragonball territory yet.
