But how is a whole clan able to put 1 entity in a genjutsu to do that?
They didnt think the whole clan literally put kurama in a gen jutsu. They thought the whole Uchiha clan planned the attack

Obviously people had good reason to believe the Uchiha were behind the attack. They literally saw that the Kyubi with a sharingan in his eyes, meaning he was being controlled by a sharingan genjutsu.

Nothing saying they did, but it appeared as if they knew not to be in the village that night. That made them look like conspirators.

I have always wondered why the Uchiha were all absent that night, without anyone knowing where they were.
