I dropped Edward, so I'll rp as Rentaro now.

Rentaro gathered raiton chakra in his right hand, then by using shape manipulation created a cord which attached itself to a hound made of purely lightning. The hound crackled as it moved about, inspecting it's surroundings. Rentaro took control of the hound, and made it charge towards a rock which it smashed through with relative ease. The hound turned around and then jumped high into the air, preforming a flip before landing back on the ground.

Rentaro next gathered raiton chakra in his mouth, then opened it to release a spear of lightning which raced towards a dummy. The spear of lightning pierced through the dummies chest, then while still inside of it, split off into other branches that would go through the dummy and exit through multiple places. After that, Rentaro released the technique and created multiple shadow clones.
Spread out a bit, I'm going to test out a technique.
Okay, let's go, boys.
The clones jumped backwards and spread out mid to long range away from Rentaro. He gathered raiton chakra in his mouth once more, then created another spear of lightning that advanced towards the clones. Once it reached mid range away from Rentaro, he had mini spears branch off from the main one, and pierce through the targets. All the while, the main spear steadily moved closer to the clones that were farther away, creating mini spears that would pierce them as well.

Rentaro next formed the three handseals to summon a shadow clone, but used raiton chakra instead of raw basic chakra. In a small cloud of smoke, a single shadow clone appeared in front of him. The clone looked no different from normal shadow clones, or himself.
Alright, show me what you can do.
Sure thing.
The clone gathered raiton chakra in his right palm, then ran towards a training dummy. Once he reached the dummy, he bent low, then sprung upwards and hit the target on the underside of it's chin with a lightning infused uppercut palm strike, knocking the dummy into the air.

Nice nice ._.

Ok so for a Kenjutsu God fan such as myself this technique is so appealing. Its just coating one's blade in Raiton chakra to have it sparkle. Now this method makes it much more lethal than wind coated weapons due to the heat and vibration lightning naturally carries, try remembering when Killer B sent a simple pen flying through at least 4 trees with a swipe, all because it was covered in Raiton.

Ok now this is the brother technique to Lightning Rod, only that it takes a hand seal. So after the hand seal you send your Raiton chakra into the sky to have a discharge of lightning fall from the sky to shock the target instead of your hand. Pretty much simple in execution and perception. However, for those tricky airborne opponents and people who love using walls this can be quite the stealthy tactic.

*Iwagakure defectors all form a Forbidden ranked wall between you and them, snickering how they got you cornered.*

Rentaro listened to Zaph as he explained the next technique and how it was all about coating one's sword with lightning to enhance it's lethal capabilities. Rentaro took note that it was more powerful then a wind coated sword due to the heat and vibration that comes with the lightning. Suddenly, a random ninja walked up to him and said in an irritating tone,
"U wot m8? Wanna get rekt?"
Rentaro unsheathed his katana from his waist and said back,
M80 you're in trouble now.
He sent raiton chakra into the katana to cause it to become covered in a layer of lightning. Rentaro ran up to the guy and made a diagonal slash across the opponent, starting from his left shoulder and ending at the right side of his waist.

After Zaph explained to Rentaro the next technique, a group of ex-Iwagakure shinobi appeared and created a large wall that separated him from the ninjas. Rentaro in response formed the ram hand seal, then lifted his right hand towards the sky while sending raiton chakra into it. There was suddenly a bright flash of light and a lightning bolt shot down towards the ninjas, shocking them all badly as they wondered what kind of legendary opponent they were dealing with.

Rentaro pulled out two windmill shuriken from his ninja pouch and tied some wire to each of them to allow him to channel raiton chakra into them at a later point. Rentaro locked the blades into place and then looked around for someone to preform the technique on. He spotted a lone surfer who was once again breaking the rules by being in the no surf zone. Rentaro ran over to the beach and jumped high into the air in order to get to a higher point than the opponent. He threw the shuriken towards him, and they hit him, knocking him down onto his board. Rentaro channeled raiton chakra through each of the wires, causing them to light up with electricity and travel down towards the shuriken, which in turn would electrocute the surfer.

I need you to perform Large Electrical Discharge Technique again under the same scenario, read it again, you're missing a vital application of the technique.

Ok so remember back in C ranks when we kept sending lightning from our hands, and you had to fry that lizard? Well tadaa, more simple lightning hand expulsions ._. Although, this can be a nice counter to close combat techniques such as Taijutsu. It requires no hand seals and rather abruptly shoots from your hand, you can fool someone you're going in for a punch then open your fist and bam! Sucker lightning thunderbolt flash!

*Lee grabs your hand before his face, his chest swelling with pride he says "You'll never land a single blow on me!"*

Besides from the C ranked technique, this is the closest you'l get to lightning armor. This technique hones in lightning around you that heats the the air so hot and quickly it turns the gas of the atmosphere from gaseous to another state of matter, plasma. Now plasma is insanely hot electromagnetic properties so as you can imagine anyone or thing unlucky enough to get caught in this is pretty much a goner, kapoot, dead, nada. During it however, you're only able to do lightning and physical attacks so time it right. Then, as a disappearing act you can have the ball discharge into a wave of lightning or in a set direction of your choice. Come to think of it this technique is extremely useful, its underused however due to its rank. Change that, candle, let NB fear B ranks again!

Rentaro formed the ram hand seal then raised his hand into the sky whilst sending raiton chakra into it. He faced towards the group of shinobi hiding behind the earthen wall, with their false sense of security as they chuckled. At will, Rentaro caused the raiton chakra to manifest itself into a wave of lightning that would go around the wall and shock them all to their surprise.

Rentaro opened his fist so that his palm was facing Lee as he gathered raiton chakra into it. He released the built up chakra from his palm in a blast of purple lightning that blasted Lee in the face, knocking him away.

Rentaro gathered raiton chakra and released it into the air around him, causing it to heat up quickly and create a plasma shield around him. The rockslide that was caused by an Iwagakure ninja was useless in harming him, as the stones would simply disintegrate as they touched the bubble-like shield. Rentaro jumped up and slammed the shield on the ninja, electrocuting him badly. He then released a blast of purple lightning from his right palm to send the ninja flying several meters away. Rentaro finally sent the shield towards the ninja in the form of a wave to cut through their body, and by cut I mean it melted the area of his stomach that it went through O___O'

Ok well done, we're at the ends of B ranked techniques.

This technique sees an orb of chakra made of Raiton that continuously rains tendrils of lightning in a Mid ranged (5-15m) radius. Meaning if you threw this over your head you'd be shocked too, but if you sent this mid ranged from you then hopped a few meters back you'd be ok. Its specifically useful for giant rock formations as it acts like a weathering system tearing away at obstacles and people alike piece by piece until they are no more. It lasts a complete turn, so be wise when using it.

( Raiton: Kaminari no Shōgeki Ame ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Shock Rain

For this technique you'll have the famous Chidori channeled into a Windmill Shuriken, those are the very large ones that Sasuke is most times seen using in the first half of Naruto. With the lightning riding the metallic object it brings about the numbing effects of lightning while slicing into foes, the currents can paralyze them so I'd suggest using it to blindside an opponent. I can't think of a scenario right now but I'm pretty sure you can, show me how you'd use this.

Rentaro gathered raiton chakra into his right hand as a giant earthen golem charged at him, angry with him for whatever reason. Rentaro aimed his hand towards the sky and sent the orb upwards and forwards, simultaneously jumping away a little bit to avoid the soon to come barrage of lightning bolts. A moment later, the orb began to glow and then release from it bolt after bolt of lightning all around it, completely countering the golem and making it crumble.

Question: wouldn't jumping away from it to avoid the lightning be counted as "free form"?

After listening to Zaph, Rentaro wove the hand seals Ox → Rabbit → Monkey → Dragon → Rat → Bird → Ox → Snake → Dog → Tiger → Monkey, then gripped his right wrist with his left hand as he curled his right hand fingers in a little. Rentaro ran raiton chakra through his arm and into his hand, causing it create a "chidori". Rentaro next reached into his backpach and pulled out multiple demon shurikens, tossing one of them from his left to right hand. As he caught it, he ran the chidori through the shuriken, giving it the paralyzing and numbing effects of a normal chidori. Over a hill, several of what looked like Deidara's clay birds took off into the air. Rentaro threw the shuriken at one of the clay birds, cutting through it. He fed his chidori wielding hand another shuriken, and threw it again. He did this several times, hitting all of the targets.

Question: I doubt I need to, but do I need to create a chidori before I can use this technique, effectively taking up 2 of my 3 moves?

With 4 hand seals you release electricity formed from Raiton chakra around you that shape manipulates into several disks of lightning, as the description says 'destructive disks', so if you're familiar with Krillin from DBZ's Destructo Disk you can get a general appearance of the technique, only that it requires no hand movement and is about half as big, as its in numbers. The disks are collectively A ranked so you don't need to specify how much you make, that is, the rank is not divided among the copies. Teach old man Tsuchi a lesson.

And for my next trick, we have the mighty, the powerful, the Gaara killer, the Rasengan Bane, the all to familiar.....Chidori! Now EVERYONE knows this technique, even if you've never watched Naruto before you've felt it resonate within your soul before. It's formation and principle comes from the Rasengan quite surprsingly, developed by Kakashi after witnessing his sensei's Rasengan. Now, because its lightning and erratic in nature it lacks the finesse of the Rasengan, but with lightning under such extreme precision and control, it gains above average piercing and slicing ability, so much that Kakashi's own variant, the Lightning Blade, was supposedly used to slice a lightning bolt in two; hence the name. Unfortunately, without a lightning mastery or being a Kakashi/Sasuke, this thing takes 11 hand seals! For the purpose of training you'll perform it with just the Ox hand seal though (ain't nobody got tiiiime fo dat).

[BillyMaise.jpg]- WAiT! There's more! The Chidori's principle can be focused throughout one's entire body instead of just a preferred hand. Developed by Sasuke due to his mastery of the Chidori, it can reach up to short range of your body in any direction, excepting underground from what I've seen in the anime don't quote me on that though. So focusing Chidori through your body you create an anti personal paralyzing shield, perfect for those Taijutsu pests. It's also classified as a full body surge allowing you to flush foreign chakra from your body up to B ranked. Oh and one more thing, when channeled through a medium like a lake or something it can reach up to mid ranged to paralyze foes.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty

As the giant earthen golem's hand raced toward Rentaro's position, he flew through the required four hand seals and released a discharge of lightning, giving birth to several electrical disks that hovered for a moment mid-air before shooting off at the hand of the golem. They pierced through the hand and made a large cloud of dust and small explosion upon impact, putting the old man Onoki to shame.

Question: does this count as a "full body surge" technique, allowing it to release the user from genjutsu? What makes me ponder that is in the description it says "the user releases a discharge of electricity".

As Zaph introduced the extremely hyped and all powerful chidori, Rentaro found himself munching on a bag of popcorn like it was a show of sorts. Rentaro stared at the popcorn and had the most confused look on his face as he thought:

Zaph next told him that normally, people like Rentaro would have to weave 11 hand seals to preform this technique, but that he was allowed to form a single "ox" hand seal this time. Nodding his head, Rentaro gathered chakra throughout his whole body, changing his appearance to be that of "Sasuke Uchiha". Rentaro formed the "ox" seal and sent raiton chakra to his right hand, creating the legendary chidori. He pulled his collar downwards with his pointer finger, and yelled at Naruto:

Soon after, Rentaro was jumped by Madara, who bound him to wood and then looked into his eyes. What Rentaro saw was... interesting. Everywhere there were flashing signs saying in big letters

Rentaro thought hard what the mysterious clue could mean. He stroked his chin, then realized that he felt nothing as he did that. He touched his arm, but felt nothing.
Ohhhh I get it, this is a Genjutsu!
Rentaro released a full body surge in the form of Chidori Nagashi as he realized that, releasing him from the genjutsu and freeing him from the wood at the same time.

To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty

So with 3 hand seals you'll make contact with the ground and send 'enormous' bolts of electricity through said ground that tears apart the earth as it makes way to the opponent, according to this description it packs some serious destructive power enough so that it 'destroys anything it comes in contact with' O_O" Try not to break the RP mkay?

Another variant of the Chidori, this one comes in projectile form. How it works is by focusing shape manipulation over the already present Chidori and have it 'break down' into thin needle like structures. However, should it break down in your hand it would just fall between your fingers and maybe even damage you, so the trick is, to release this needle state and you release the Chidori outwards. Like throwing a cup of water you'd wait at the right moment to let out all the water without it spilling on you. And no, you don't need to perform Chidori beforehand, this counts as the original Chidori and the variant in one technique.

Primarily a Taijutsu move, this focuses on infusing Raiton into one's hand then shape manipulating the released electricity into a small ball of high energy. Like a Rasengan if you like (Deja Vu). You can either throw this ball or slam it into their mouths if they talk a lot, regardless, the end result is a massive lightning explosion. Needless to say this is quite lethal.

Now this is huge, and would be quite illogical to use on a single opponent, especially if you're in their immediate vicinity, savor this for numerous opponents or a very large one. Alas, another variant of the Chidori. Just like how you'd form the senbons, you'd release this variant in the form of an elongated blade. Do you know those metal retractable police batons? Imagine flashing one of those outward with enough force and precision to have it fully extend, its the same principle with the Eiso. Carefully extending your chakra while keeping it in shape, needless to say this requires some amount of focus. Use it wisely.

Rentaro quickly weaves 3 hand seals and slams his hand onto the ground upon seeing a ninja dive into the earth. Converting his chakra into lightning, Rentaro created a giant bolt of it which traveled toward the enemies general direction. The bolt would tear through the ground as it advanced, easily reaching the target underground.

After listening to Zaph explain the next technique, and how it is a variant of the oh-so famous chidori. The difference was that the chidori would be converted into tiny needles which would then be thrown at a target. Once Zaph finished his explanation, a flock of disturbing birds flew over head. Disgusted by them, Rentaro had already created a chidori before Zaph told him to use them at targets. He held the chidori by his left shoulder with his right hand, then brought his arm across his body. As he moved his arm, he changed the shape of the chidori to become a large amount of needles which he threw out toward the birds, taking them all down.

Just then, a few of Rentaro's friends showed up flaunting bowling balls, and asked him if he would like to join them for a bit. Looking at each of them, he noticed that they all held only one ball, meaning no one brought one for him.
...Suuuuuure, I'll playy.
With that, Rentaro gathered raiton chakra into his right hand and shaped it into a ball approximately the same size as a bowling ball. He then wound up and tossed it toward them, the ball soaring right above the ground to ensure it wouldn't explode, yet O_____O' . The ball made contact with the ground right in front of the group, setting off the second part of the jutsu. The ball expanded into a massive electrical explosion, knocking them all back to the bowling alley.

Rentaro listened to Zaph explain the next technique, and how its so large that it was used to try and subdue the Nine Tails. Zaph then called him a pleb, thus making the process of picking a target a short one. Forming four hand seals, Rentaro focused his chakra into the ground around Zaph, creating a massive cage of electricity, though he accidentally trapped himself in it too.

question: the cage is self-sustaining, correct? I don't have to feed charka into it continuously preventing me from using other techniques? I cant remember if when this was used in the anime/manga that ANBU guy used this in combination with that earth and fire technique all on his/her own, or if he/she had others to preform those techniques.

Don't worry Zaph, I'll just get us out of this mess with a different technique!
With that, Rentaro created a chidori in his right hand, then by applying shape manipulation elongated the chidori, making it very similar to a katana. He swung at one of the cage's pillars, and cut clean through it, allowing Zaph and Rentaro to hop out of it.

So this makes a mini vortex of lightning around you right, and then the vortex will sprout a dragon head out of nowhere which will then shoot forwards to attack a target in front of you, be very mindful that the technique says in front of you so don't expect to be poaching enemies that are behind you, unless you turn around of course...

Aright so for Kakuzu he can do this with his Lightning Mask no problems, but for us plebs we need the Snake hand seal. Its from the mouth so directly after the hand seal you're free to use your hands while you spit an ultra fast light spear from your mouth, frying fools in record time. This thing is ultra deadly, and if used in close quarters can almost guarantee a kill. Use it wisely..

The user can increase the number of spears to attack multiple enemies by branching the main spear. This, coupled with the sheer speed of the lightning, makes it a difficult technique to evade. This strong attack can be defended against by an equally strong attack of the same element such as Raikiri.

Form a Raikiri in your hand, then split it apart with sheer concentration. Afterwards wreak havoc on all your enemies. Pretty simple isn't it? Yupp, its as easy as the description says. Just don't use any other techniques while you're attacking the enemy with it, you'll disrupt it.

Rentaro gathered up his raiton chakra, then expelled it in the form of a vortex around him. The vortex would quickly increase in size until it took the shape of a dragon, racing forwards to give Guy a shocking surprise (huehue). Guy skillfully was able to avoid the head of the dragon, but little bolts of electricity quickly rendered his attempt to go unscathed fruitless, as they attacked him as the dragon's head passed.

Rentaro faced Guy once more, who had just finished creating a few clones around him, running his mouth about something along the lines of "there is youth in numbers". To counter the large number of enemies in a single blow, Rentaro wove 4 hand seals and pooled his chakra beneath them. In an instant, a giant column of lightning shot out of the ground, shocking all of the Guys in there.

Rentaro quickly formed the snake hand seal as he whimpered about being a pleb when compared to Kakuzu's lightning mask. His sorrow turned quickly into bitter rage, and mistook The Thing as the Lightning Mask, standing in front of him. Rentaro opened his mouth as he reached for like ten kunai with bomb tags and somehow managed to lob them all towards the poor guy. The lightning emitted from Rentaro's mouth quickly pierced through The Thing, and then pierced out of him in six different places, due to other branches growing off from the main one while inside him.

Rentaro quickly formed a raikiri in his right hand, then grabbed the lightning with his left and ripped a chunk of it off, creating two raikiris. Rentaro tip toed towards Ay as he slept peacefully, tho the chirping Raikiris didn't really help keep it quiet, at all, it would have been better to just run at him. Rentaro jabbed him in the face with both of his raikiris suddenly, then used hiding like a mole immediately after to get away. Just then, B showed up to face his infuriated partner.

Now even though it says that it isn't avoidable or defendable, there are multiple methods to counter it. List as many of them as you can. (I can think of 3-4 without really trying).

Description: The user will cover his hands in with lightning, essentially performing a (Raiton: Chidori) Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds in each hand. Clapping his hands together, the user can unleash that massive amount of lightning chakra into the form of a powerful Thunderbolt directed at the target. The technique is best used if the user has a height advantage in relation to the target. The thunderbolt is strong enough to leave a giant crater and cannot be used while being in Short-range of the target, at the risk of being hit also.

Rentaro nodded as he listened to the explanation, then formed a single hand seal. He condensed superheated chakra in his lungs, then expelled several fireballs towards the sky in order to heat up the atmosphere enough for storm clouds to form.

Rentaro next wove the required hand seals for chidori in order to create one in his right hand. He then raised said hand towards the sky, and channeled his chakra through the chidori into the thunderclouds above. In an instant, a giant dragon of lightning emerged from the dark above, casting a shadow (sike lightning can't cast a shadow, wait it's actually a form of light so I guess things that are in its way cast a shadow), across the entire training field. Rentaro brought his hand down, and in turn the dragon rushed towards the ground where it smashed through the earth, creating a massive crater.

Description: After using a fire jutsu to heat the atmosphere and create thunderclouds in the sky, the user will use Chidori to take control of the lightning above. They can then make the lightning strike an opponent in the blink of an eye.
Note: Can only be used by Lightning Specialists.
Note: Can only be avoided with time/space techniques or otherwise absolute defenses.
Note: Can only be used once per battle.
Note: In the turn before the use of Kirin, the user must have used at least a B-Rank, Long Range Fire (Katon) technique directed at the sky.
Note: User needs to post Chidori, meaning that in the turn Kirin is used, the user spends 2 moves.

Alright, so there are multiple ways to avoid or defend against Kirin. The two most obvious in my opinion are Space Time techniques such as Minato's and Tobirama's Flying Thunder God jutsus, or Obito's and Kakashi's Kamui. Obito can transport his body to another dimension, while Kakashi can transport the Kirin to another dimension. The other most obvious way to defend against Kirin is by coating oneself in a Susano'o. Unfortunately, only some people with the Mangekyou Sharingan can do this. Another way to avoid this is by using the E ranked ninjutsu technique, Change in Body Stance to switch your position with that of something else. Another way to defend against this is by simply a wind technique that is stronger, or any technique that is stronger. It needs to be able to be preformed quickly if it is not already active though. In the notes of Kirin, there is this: "Note: Can only be avoided with time/space techniques or otherwise absolute defenses." The keyword in that is "avoided". Granted this is a very powerful technique, but some people may not catch that this is unavoidable unless you have Space Time techniques or Susano'o, while it never says anything about not being able to defend against it.

Rentaro next gathered raiton chakra in each of his hands, effectively forming two Chidoris. Looking around, he spotted one of his clones from earlier and ran towards him. Once he had closed the gap enough to be mid range from the clone, Rentaro pushed off the ground into the air to gain a hight advantage. He quickly clapped his hands together, and condensed the raiton chakra into a large bolt of lightning which raced towards the clone, piercing him through his chest.

Both were nice.

With the ways to avoid Kirin you used a lot of special bios to avoid it. The thing is, I wanted you to think how a plain bio could stop it. While you're kind of correct about using a wind jutsu, your timing and wording would need to be impeccable. However here's some ways I'd counter kirin.

1. Intercept the fire balls before they are capable of forming clouds. For example, sticky earth drop (assuming they're B rank). Not only does it stop them, and even though they're B rank, the opponent would still have to deal with a whole mass of superheated falling mud, since the sheer amount of mud wouldn't just disappeared to a few fireballs. Next one is incredibly simple, just use a jutsu to disperse the cloud. Most wind jutsu could do this.third you could just get into short range and stay there applying pressure. They won't use Kirin since it can't be used in short range of the user, unless they want to die. The last and most fun way is to let the clouds form but don't let your opponent t use Chidori next turn, then when it's your turn next just use Kirin yourself (even though it says the user must shoot the fireballs, their chakra isn't in the atmosphere until Kirin is used, because the fire balls would just disperse or continue into the sky.

Oh I see, that all makes sense. I assumed you meant how to deal with it once it's coming down on me. And don't worry, my wording is as impeccable as my random battling rank on showdown (it's like 1204 ;-; ). Wouldn't it be risky to try using a Kirin from someone else's fireball made clouds though? I mean what you say logically makes sense, but by the text you could get quoted and maybe lose the fight.

My bad, coukdnt think of a better word tha "counter" to use. Of course it's risky to try use someone else's clouds for Kirin, which is why it's fun. Though no one uses Kirin because it's so obvious. If that's all the questions we can move on.
