Chouji's size poses disadvantages as much as advantages.
He is just an easy target for one-shot attacks which would be dodged by human sized opponents; or large scale ones which would get decked or getting evaded by manuevering in battlefield and hiding by again human sized opponents.
Sakura or Tsunade might even be able to finish him off before butterfly mode.

Sakura solo's choji before he even think about butterfly mode, and he wont even have time with the ground around him being destroyed and all. Butterfly mode will give me a chance but Sakura ultimately wins, because she is Superior, faster, stronger, and wiser.

Honestly it could go either way with sakura, choji is underrated, his giant mode and butterfly mode are both capable of 1 shotting people, it's not crazy to say he could take sakura, and her strength can only be applied with punches, she can't grab choji and throw him while he's in giant mode, Tsunade I'll give the benefit of the doubt since she is hokage, but choji stands a fair chance against sakura.

good evasive skillz = able to dodge kick from fodder.
