Sigh... Those scenes were filler. Read the damn manga. A rasengan is a powerful atack, it can kill or at leats KO regular people. Pain's body being defeated by a rasengan was normal. Obito is totally diferent.

A direct hit to the chest with a rasengan would kill anyone unless they had some sort of special defense like he Third Raikage. Naruto bypassed his defense and hit him, I don't see what's wrong with that. The rasengan isn't a fodder justu, a direct hit OHKO's most shinobi.
