the sealing took place after the fight, why else would hashirama say "i cant let you roam free any longer" it implies he had the option to let the kyuubi roam free or seal him and his power.

what i take from this is that kushina did not need help to drag the nine-tails inside her, using that technique, taking into account her steadily depleting chakra and weak condition,and mito is the one who taught kushina,someone who was raised around the uzumaki sealing techniques, why wouldnt mito be able to accomplish the same thing if kurama is being supressed by hashiramas mokuton at the time

Kushina had very special chakra that was unique to her, this had nothing to do with mito. also since it did not happen, there is no way of knowing if it would have worked. another point is that while yes IF Kurama was being supressed with mokuton then Mito should be able to seal Kurama inside her, however what alot of people have been trying to explain is that if this happened during the battle, there is no way madara would just sit there and let it happen thus making it impossible
