I believe that it is actually Borutos own headband considering the fact that the scar on his left eye seems to have had time to heal (in other words it doesn't look like it was a fresh wound from the fight with Kawaki) so he must have had it on before hand. Also, there is a transition in the first manga from Boruto just putting on the thing (

) and him many years before right next to what seems to be it (

). Why would they give it so much emphasis between the transition if it wasn't his?

Don't think he goes rogue even if he wants to be like Sasuke. I do believe it would make him cooler though.

Whoever headband it is doesn't matter... village members are required to wear their hand band at all times (not including very big fights that might cause it to fall off) Because neither Boruto or Kawaki is wearing a headband pretty much confirms they're both missing nin. The scratch on the headband just confirms the fact further. Now that i think about it... his putting on that headband because he might wanna rebuild the village... perhaps Boruto is a representation of what hashirama and madara would be if they in some weird way had a child back then...

It's Blue a different color than the headband shown in the flashforwarrd in other words the headband that boruto is wearing isn't sasuke's. WHICH CONFIRMS BORUTO GOES ROGUE BECAUSE OF THE LINE IN THE MIDDLE!! I mean what else that line represents other than rogue? This will shut people who think it's Sasuke's headband

I dont think that you can know completely already if its Sasuke's headband or not based on these screens.

First of all, Genin Boruto does not have a headband with a knot right?
Yet the Boruto vs Kawaki headband has a knot.
So its at least not Boruto his current genin headband.

Different lighting may change the color somewhat.
Like a black headband getting a bit of a blueish tint in dim light or a blue headband getting much darker.

The headband vs Kawaki may just be Boruto's headband but not his current genin headband though.
