Even Bolt Sarada and Mitsuki I wouldnt say there is the extra weight useless 3rd character, Mitsuki is orochimarus son i doubt he is useless.
Rin I dont know if she was a 3rd extra character so I dont know if I would put their team on the list either.

Instead I would add Danzo, Hiruzen and whoever the third girl was in their team to the list.

except he never said they were useless. He said they were extra weight. Which they are.

1. Nobody in that ranking got above the other with solely hard work, obviously a lot of other factors assisted in that. The relatively more hard worker MIGHT be above in some cases, but not because of hard work, but due to some other more prominent thing in addition to hard work e.g. Obito got above Kakashi because of genes, not hard work, Gaara got above Temari due to sand, not hard work, and Naruto got equal to (not above) Sasuke because of Kurama.

2. Everybody worked hard e.g Kakashi, Sasuke, Neji, Oro. People like Naruto, Lee, Jiraiya just worked a little harder.

3. Some rankings are utterly wrong. Oro > Jiraiya. Bolt > Sarada. Naruto = Sasuke.

4. Shika's team was not included in which the genius is the strongest. And sand siblings were included even though they aren't even a team.

Yes, this. Lee may have looked as if he had no talent at first, but to be able to open 5 gates as a 12-13 year-old Genin is something special. He was talented.

Also, I'm pretty sure it was never settled whether Lee could defeat Neji or not. Although, it would seem pretty one-sided with Lee's speed.

Nah Genius was always stronger and hard worker always tried to catch up him, but IMO only Lee surpassed Neji out of the list and well maybe Obito but then Kakashi got DSM so dunno.... Lee Vs Neji Should have happaned pft Kishi... Neji shouldnt have died and we would have one of the best rivals.... Imagine Neji with Tenseigan and Lee with 8 gates(i think he will master it w/o dieing) would be cool fight....
