in the 60s..
its was all about lata, mukesh , rafi etc.
in the 70s..
that was the time when classical music was starting get mixed with different styles and of course amitabh joined bollywood.
in the 80s..
when Bappy Lahiri ( musician ) brought that "disco theme" in bollywood . it became insanely popular.
suddenly everyone started doing it, singing it, dancing to its rhythm.
in the 90s..
the likes of shahrukh, salman , anil kapoor , govinda started getting famous
and this last decade..(2000-2010)
those young actors/actresses from the 90s became stars of bollywood..
a lot of new singers came alog as well
and in these recent years..
few new stars have emerged..listen to the 2014's bollywood music and then try listening to the music from 1950s,60s.
music has changed a lot.
some people like this change specially today's teenagers and some dont.
some feel that the "classical indian music" is dying.
it is actually.

^Again this song has few memories attached to it. This was the one that I sang for someone once.
This film(Jab We Met) was her favorite film and Shahid was her favorite hero and that scene when he dances with Kareena in the rain, was 'our' favorite moment of the song.

My memory maybe playing tricks with me but that channel above has it uploaded in 2006( youtube was founded in 2005) so ....... XD I think this track was around 2002-4 at least... They probably relaunched it later.
At least the next one is non controversially old...

Yeah, that track(Dhoom pichak dhoom) is really old. Maeri might be composed before, but got serialized in 2008, I guess.
Oh well, back to rain songs, this one has to make it to the memorable rain songs.
^There are two reasons for me to like this song:
1. Kishor Kumar
2. Amitabh Bachchan in a rare look(I have rarely seen him seating at one place and playing instrument throughout a song, that too with mesmerizing expressions).
