People are making the connection between Itama and Zetsu. I do believe that it's undeniable that they look very similar, although I don't believe Itama IS Zetsu like some believe.

My question is this (although it may seem a little far fetched), what if Itama is the result of a Senju/Uchiha affair, or some kind of Romeo and Juliet bs? I don't know, just some food for thought.

The hair thing is more than enough reason. It's such a unique and weird design to give a character, it's subtle and not on purpose.

Whether he is ACTUALLY Zetsu, who knows? I think it might just be based off of him like Yamato is to Hashirama.

I´m a bit confused here...are people comparing Zetsu with Hashi´s bro because of the hair color or something else entirely different?

Because if I remember correctly Madara used his black magic to alter Zetsu into a multicultured vegetal

I'm not looking just at the hair to begin with. Te head shape, the eye shape... It's REALLY similar to that of Zetsu's.

if you focus you can see that itama have half of his hair similar to Hashirama and half is similar to Tobirama. it is a genetical phenomenon and he shares the mix of both the brothers.

No, I was very sad that Itama died. He seemed like a nice kid, but I seriously doubt that he is of any further relevance to the manga... He died in one chapter. :|
