Itachi's level of dedication and nobility is unmatched by anyone in the naruto world. He gave his entire clan death to see to it that konoha would remain stable and hatred free (more or less). He even pushed the bounds by planning ahead to free himself from control should something happen that could jeopardize peace and balance of the ninja world. His last words to Sasuke go nearly unmatched also only jiraya's rant underwater at the time of his death had nearly as much impact on an emotional level if you really think about it

I disagree, Kisame matched him. Kisame often killed his own comrades to make sure his village was not harmed. Kisame killed his Master(?) for the good of the village. And when Obito confronted him and offered him another way to be useful and another life, Kisame took it.

Kisame treated a (seemingly) insane maniac like Itachi as a friend, took his words to heart. And in the end died for the Akatsuki and the dream. No. . Died isn't right. He fed himself to his own summons, set up a trap, and still got intel out to Obito. .

Worst part of all, no one cared for his death (On his side atleast). His enemies seemed to respect him at most. And he was never able to realize his dream. . Itachi atleast was able to have a more brotherly and civil meeting with Sasuke after they defeated Kabuto (through bullshit, I might add).

- brutally tortured and mindraped a 7 year old innocent little boy, tormented him, mocked him and lied to him blatantly then caused him extreme psychological injury by ordering the attempted murder of another inncoent konoha citizen
- attempted to brainwash and enslave his brother to serve danzo for eternity, which endangered the lives of thousands of people given danzo would have ordered his new weapon to conquer the world for konoha
- didnt kill danzo, despite knowing what kind of man he is, and the fact danzo would endanger konoha in the future with his brutal beliefs
- didn't kill orochimaru for absolutely no reason which caused the death of half of konoha
- didnt do anything to help konha prepare for akatsuki, and didnt warn them about obito
- helped murder 6 innnocent jinchuriki and sealt he bijuus which is why the 4th world war happens
- failed to capture naruto which put the entire village in danger of pain's retailiation for itachis failure.
- brutally tortured and mindraped kakashi for 3 days by strapping him to a cross and stabbing him with katanas over and over.
- tried to murder kakashi in cold blood with a kunai stab to the spine
- ordered kisame to kill kakashi kurenai and asuma
- ordered the attempted murder of naruto by trying to send naruto fight sasuke which is hopeless because sasuke'd slaughter him
- didnt care one bit about kisame and blinked away his death despite itachi having no motivation for holding emotion back.
- mind****ed sasuke even further, torutring him for 24 hours, beating him to near death into a coma, and trying to run away when sasuke came to him wanting answers
- stood there stone faced and uncaring as kisame tried to cut narutos legs off.
- attacked mindraped and tormented a helpless naruto and drove him to agonising tears.
- attacked/let be captured the 4 tails jinchuriki.
- extorted konoha and betrayed them by issuing treasonous threats
- went on a meglomaniacal rant and called EVERY uchiha pathetic including sasuke

I disagree with the OP, and believe that if anyone, the titular character Naruto fits the description of most noble.

Itachi and Naruto both had ideals and morals, however their approach to said ideals were different. Itachi wanted peace for konoha, whereas Naruto's ambition is for world peace. Itachi chose the path of a missing ninja that committed genocide against his own clan, all with intentions that he thought were the better of two evils. However I believe, and Itachi later mused, that there may have been a third choice that he could take. From our observations of Naruto we can see that he is a proponent of making that "third choice," not accepting the options given to him, but rather striving to accomplish things his way. I believe that Itachi may have seen himself in Naruto through Naruto's conviction to save Sasuke and the village, and that is why he relinquished Shisui's eye to him.

Itachi was a powerful individual, and the shinobi path that he chose for himself was, while stained with blood, the only choice that he believed he had at the time. This is to show that he is not infallible, and he readily admits to this to both Naruto and Sasuke. That is why I believe Itachi to be a great shinobi, but not as noble as Naruto.

Indeed. Certain members can't grasp the bigger picture. They only think "he slaughtered his clan" and stop there, not realizing he prevented Konoha's destruction, stopped a civil war and world war. A true hero.

you mean a true vicious mindraping sociopath. danzo stopped the civil war. itachi would have floundered about in indecision and let the coup happen without his manipulations and resolve. also hiruzen helped to convince itachi.
itachi is guilty of the torture and near death coma of his own brother, and of kakashi, his own comrade. he is guilty of trying to enslave sasuke with a genjutsu. and he is guilty of trying to murder kakashi kurenai and asuma. hes also guilty of doing nothing about akatsuki for 10 years. a true cowardly selfish utter monster. his cruelty is so gigantic that he tortured his own little kid brother brutally and left him in a mentally shattered comotose state. his cruelty is such that he abandoned the rest of the world to danger death and destruction just so obito wouldnt touch konoha.
I believe that Itachi may have seen himself in Naruto through Naruto's conviction to save Sasuke and the village,
as far as i know narutos not a violent murderous mindrapist who beats little children to near death in cold blood and teries to enslave them with genjutsu, so how could itachi see anything in common with him?

Itachi was a powerful individual, and the shinobi path that he chose for himself was, while stained with blood, the only choice that he believed he had at the time. This is to show that he is not infallible, and he readily admits to this to both Naruto and Sasuke
itachi already admitted he didnt have any regrets meaning he was totally ok with shoving swords into babies and torturing a 7 year old
