Itachi's susano'o

Itachi's susano'o had yata mirror and a sword which name I cannot remember (my apologies). It was stated and proven in his fight with sasuke that the sword could seal anything and anyone in its gourd. My thinking was why did itachi not just go to Obito and Madara and just seal them in the swords gourd among other things?? it would have made the war so much easier i think

Yata Mirror was the shield while the Totsuka sword was the Sword. The reason why Itachi did not seal Obito and Madara using the Totsuka sword is because it isn't that easy stabbing someone with a sword as big and slow as the Totsuka Sword. The only reason why it worked on Orochomaru was because Orochomaru did not know that the sword Itachi was using was the Totsuka Sword. Orochomaru himself allowed Itachi to stab him because he believed that a stab from a sword could not even hurt him, Orochomaru soon realized that he had made a big a mistake and Itachi sealed him.

Besides, Itachi's plan was not to stop Madara and Obito but rather to undo Edo Tensei and send all those resurrected shinobi back to the underworld.

Can you please explain as too why it wouldn't work on madara please?? and true true that was his plan but i thought it would have been easier to just attack the leaders and stop the whole thing at the root

Also, the reason why he did not go after Obito or Madara was because he at that time did not know that this war had been started by them. He went after Kabuto first because Kabuto was the only person Itachi knew about, who had anything to do with the war.

And how is he gonna seal madara and obito exactly, blade of totsuka is pretty much useless on a fast moving opponent, so far he's only sealed two people with the totsuka blade and that was oro and nagato and they either were in no position to move or their mobility was crippled, and madara and obito have very good reaction times

Tbf he could've at least tried but I see your point. I know that he didnt know who started the whole thing but surely he knew that tobi was still a danger?? but your point is probably a lot more valid than mine so lets go with yours

honostly if writers were to write as logically as this, the manga would have been over long ago. haha you can apply this type of thinking to ANY manga or anime.
