Itachi's stamina "problems"...

While it's true Kishi grants Itachi a mere 2.5 in the DB for stamina considerations need to be taken before downplaying his abilities. People also need to consider Itachi is a genjutsu master. The best we've seen and it takes a great deal of chakra control to be one. This explains why Itachi is able to fight top tier opponents with lower stamina than Kakashi.

Itachi's fighting style revolve around disabling his opponents quickly or finishing them off. He hates to drag battles out(excluding Sasuke of course) because of his stamina.

However Itachi can use quite a few moves before collasping due to excellent chakra control.

During Itachi vs Sasuke alot of people only look at the techniques he used while fighting Sasuke. However Itachi was using moves before Sasuke even got to his location. Around the same time Itachi v Sasuke was suppose to happen Itachi used a shadow clone along with genjutsu to give a message to Naruto. He then went and sent a clone/pre-longed genjutsu's against Sasuke

genjutsu

Again a crow clone during the same time frame against Sasuke

Prolonged genjutsu for about a whole chapter.

Then when the fight finally starts.

Itachi uses:
Shuriken jutsu
A crow clone
Tsyukomi
A fire ball jutsu
2 Amaterasu's
A battle with Susanoo

all while dieing at his weakest point in the series to a disease. Granted out of all the techniques Susanoo probably takes the most out of him, but he only seems to use it at the right moment or as his trump card.

KingMoron needs to read this thread since he believes dodging B's Kenjutsu will cause him to collapse due to stamina issues. lmao.

The crow clone he used on Naruto is the same he used against Sasuke. He said "i've important matters...". He was talking about reaching Sasuke there. He use a karasu bunshin with crows as mediums. Crows themselve can fly to reach other destinations. Besides that, not a bad thread

Itachi = Multi Tasker of the year?

If anything Itachi is one of the more resourceful fighters out there. Scary to think what he would be like without that disease.

yeah but he died after lol. and clones once dispelled return the chakra back to the user, making them isnt the problem the problem is that you split your chakra pool into pieces. which is why shinobi like itachi and kakashi use them for mere seconds as a surprise factor while others like naruto, kisame etc use them for a numerical advantage, because they can afford it.

anyhow, compared to sasuke with the ems and even kakashi vs pain (let alone now), that list while not bad at all isnt particularly impressive. and the thing people need to consider is that while itachi is generally good enough to beat opponents unversed in genjutsu with base sharingan, like deidara or base naruto, every skilled opponent he's faced has forced him to use the ms (pt1 kakashi, jiraiya, sasuke, hydra orochimaru). (the first orochimaru fight was a lesson not an outright defeat, orochimaru could shrug off a wound like that like it was nothing, if itachi really wanted the kill oro there it would have warranted the totsuka sword ie full susanoo, oro can best both tsukuyomi and amaterasu).

while the ms is his trump card (it was the only thing which made him superior to sasuke, who bested him in pretty much every shinobi art in the fight), it is also his greatest risk as he is practically spending large chunks of stamina, and losing sight with every single use. face it, apart from the sasuke fight where itachi could go all out and beyond, the other fights where he used the ms he made a quick getaway soon after, and that's with using just one ms technique. the way itachi fought vs sasuke was suicidal,but to replicate that against other opponents would leave itachi closer to death and blindness every time. add the pain of using the ms and those are pretty large drawbacks imo.

Sometimes I can't help but imagine what Itachi would be like in his prime. He's top 10 but I do think that Sasuke has surpassed him
