[Theory] Itachi's speech might change sasuke's mind about destroying the leaf

The reason i say that is because part of what made sasuke so vengeful and full of hate was the fact that he didn't understand why itachi slaughtered the uchiha clan and probably the reason why he not only wanted to destroy the leaf but also kill the elders could be because he thought that they targeted the uchiha because of the ninetails attack on konoha and so played a part in having the uchiha assainated but with itachi finally revealing the truth about why he did what he did sasuke will probably realise that it was because the uchiha planned a coup against the leaf and that in order to prevent a possible war (the 4th great ninja war)itachi decided that he had no choice but to assainate them to prevent it.

I believe that itachi's actions in today's manga chapter could be what would cause sasuke to change his mind about destroying the leaf cause now sasuke fully understands the truth about what happened that fateful night and plus itachi which if i'm right means that itachi has fufilled his koto amatsukami mission which was to protect the leaf cause now sasuke probably won't destroy the leaf and kill the elders saying that i believe that itachi will tell sasuke something about tobi maybe about tobi not only playing a part in the uchiha massacre but also the ninetails attack on the leaf which if the attack never happened the uchiha clan would still be alive and so sasuke will instead want to kill tobi and will rush to the battlefiled but if naruto and sasuke are still gonna fight it might either be light a match to see how strong each other has become basically like a play fight or just when it seems that sasuke might change tobi being the evil little shit he is will probably open a can of worms that could anger sasuke and cause him to want to destroy the leaf anyway awhich naruto promised he wouldn't allow but i don't know but yeah i believe that sasuke might change hismind about the leaf.

Doubt it he heard the same story Tobi told him and he already told Itachi that he will destroy the leaf regardless of how Itachi feels about them

I don't think he'll change his mind because of what Itachi said entirely, but knowing the full truth may leave his mind open to the thought of it. Naruto is still the only one that can change him, as Itachi has said multiple times. But yeah, after this he may change his mind before the story is over.

Not gonna happen. For one thing, Naruto vs Sasuke has to happen.

Sasuke saw the whole village as being to blame for the massacre of the Uchiha, but in Itachi's flashback that's obviously not the case. The Third Hokage clearly wanted to avoid a massacre, and Danzo was the jerk who was talking about massacre and killing children. Further, Danzo basically threatened to kill Sasuke unless Itachi made a terrible decision.

So in reality, Danzo was the bad guy here. The rest of the village is basically blameless and didn't even know that this decision was being made. Sasuke has already killed Danzo and gotten all the real revenge that he needs.

So here's the question about where Sasuke goes from here. If Sasuke continues to pursue revenge against the leaf blindly, he's just a stupid simple-minded revenge idiot and he serves no real purpose in this story besides to distract people from the real bad guy: Tobi. If Sasuke reconsiders his goals, he could eventually grow to form a much larger part in this story.

For instance, if Sasuke decides he's going to fight against Tobi, the person who arguably set this whole process in motion (starting with the rampage of the fox, helping with the uchiha massacre, etc) Sasuke could become a great hero on the allied side and eventually redeem the Uchiha through his goodness. On the other hand if Sasuke decides he wants to go full crazy and destroy everything because everybody has hurt him, he could take the Rinnegan from Tobi and become the lead villain with a power level like Madara and try to destroy the whole world. Either of these would be interesting. Sasuke not changing at all and continuing to focus narrow-mindedly on destroying the Leaf would be stupid and not interesting.

At least we got rid of one thing, but his father/mother was sad. They like knew he was coming, and what was going to happen. I don't know if it'll change Sasuke, but it may by a little, as some kind of dislike for the village will remain, but he'll do something for Naruto at the end to help out thats for sure.

I think he may fight with Naruto against Tobi but then fight against Naruto afterwards
