I would like for Itachi's anime to be a long running anime. How?
I would like if Masashi Kishimoto gives all the freedom to his assistants to come with a new Story.

So for me it doesn't have to follow the manga completely.
I would love to see Itachi with new power or Rinnegan.

I didn't read his book (it's not out where I am). So I don't know what to think.

What about you, would you prefer canon adaptation and it talking about stuff we already now, or it should take an other way like a side story?

Yep agree. Though we didn't see much from him in anime... I mean we need to know him more. The story was never said from his side. Only from sasuke .
Haha I would like to see itachi with his REAL power. In my view rinnegan doesn't match his character u know... MS fits him the best.
And the novels don't seem to be translated in English at all(not sure)
I would like to see his relationships, his teammates and sensei, some chunin exam stuff and friends(specially his gf XD). All we saw was just itachi-sasuke things. :|
Also showing his life and relationships in akatsuki would be interesting too. :)

A long-running anime sounds great, but it definitely will not be one. Doubt there's enough content for that.
Ever since Itachi's debut, Kishi has made it clear how relevant Itachi is to the story of Naruto.
Itachi got panel time right before Naruto and Sasuke's final fight and was even mentioned in the second-to-last chapter of the main manga, #699.
Itachi, like Kakashi, would make such an intriguing main character due to all of the internal and external conflicts in his life.
I prefer new plot-points rather than recycling information we've already been given. New characters, new lands, new threats. Maybe even a love interest, but I don't see Itachi as a Romeo. He's always had crucial missions to undergo, so I doubt he'd ever wasted any time on the endeavors of romantic love.
I just hope that the story will reveal to us all just how OP Itachi is when he's healthy and not holding back.

And I've already read Kakashi Hiden. Have no idea how or where to find Itachi's.

Def. want to see him in his prime and get into real fights that forces him to use everything he's got.
