Itachi's Seppuku:
*******
Seppuku (切腹?, "stomach-cutting") is a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. Seppuku was originally reserved only for samurai. Part of the samurai bushido honor code, seppuku was either used voluntarily by samurai to die with honor rather than fall into the hands of their enemies (and likely suffer torture), or as a form of capital punishment for samurai who had committed serious offenses, or performed for other reasons that had brought shame to them.
(Note: Itachi's Seppuku = Suicide (not the disembowelment part though)
*******
Theory: Itachi will go blind and commit a "form" of Seppuku. He will go blind b/c he will perform Izanami with BOTH eyes, once on Kabuto and once on Sauske. He will execute a form of Seppuku by ending the Edo Tensei, ultimately ending his own life (yet again).
(Note: This theory assumes that the users eyes are truly "sealed forever" after the kinjutsu is performed, despite the Edo.)
He will change BOTH of their destinies by:
1) Forcing Kabuto to release the Edo;
2) Forcing Sauske to protect the Leaf, re-installing the "Will of Fire" inside him.
His other reason for ending Edo Tensei is to "kill" Madara (he is UNSTOPPABLE otherwise) and to stop Kabuto from ever using himself (Itachi) against the Leaf. He will trust his brother and leave him to defeat Kabuto instead of trying to do it all by himself. This is a theme that he has stated a few times since he's been revived.
Lastly, I believe that he HAS to change Sauske's mind about attacking the Leaf because Shisui's KOTO currently is to "Protect Kohona". Sauske already told him (and kabuto) that he plans to attack the village. Itachi would not be "protecting kohona" if he knows his brother will attack the village and he does nothing about it.
******
Explanation: Itachi has shown himself to be one the most honorable shinobi in the world of Narutoverse. He truly believes in the code of a shinobi, and in the Will of Fire. It seems that alot of the traditions of the original Samurai are beheld and continued through some of the true Shinobi of this world. He obviously believes in SACRAFICE, which is why he annialated his own Clan and attempted to end his own life at the hands of his little brother. This was the first form of Seppuku that Itachi completed on himself. Seppuku is an honorable means for a Shinobi (Samurai) to end his life to eliminate the "shame" that would be given to his Clan's Name in the Village by his actions (of Murder).
He will then leave Tobi to Sauske & Naruto to defeat. Chuuch.
(Note: I honestly believe Itachi's earlier sickness was created by himself in order that he might die for the crimes that he committed, ultimately at the hand of his brother. His first form of "Seppuku". I have no proof of this though and did not add it to this theory b/c it would get flamed. lol)
