Itachi's sacrifices really havent worked out

By no means do i hate Itachi's character infact he is one of my favourites, but look at all the things he's done

Tried to prevent the 4th ninja war- Well ones going on at this very moment:sy:

Tried to protect Konoha- It got destroyed twice after he left, by Oro, and then pain nuked the place!

Protected sasuke- well now he hates konoha and wants to destroy what Itachi died to protect!

Major trolling on his character don't you think?

No, they have much better chance at winning the War because Itachi released most of the edos and stopped Kabuto + his reunion with Sasuke changed his thoughts about revenge and he's heading to right direction.

If Itachi didn't stop edo, the army would be in more trouble because of more bad guys with ultimate chakra and it's not Itachis fault about hidden leaf and about Sasuke. He tried and now Sasuke might turn good.

He prevented a 4th ninja war, he cannot prevent every single confrontation from occurring.

He protected Konoha as he was alive, he cannot do anything more when he is dead.

He protected Sasuke because he loved him. Sure it would have been nice to have Sasuke value the things he did, but I'm sure you've seen the scene where Itachi dies, he says he's proud of Sasuke and will respect whatever he does.

I don't think he failed at all

i wouldnt say his character's been trolled really, actually he's trolled orochimaru, nagato and kabuto. which is fine if you're an itachi fan i suppose, but to me he's a big killjoy. he got two swansongs, can't really complain about that.

1) he did prevent the 4th ninja war but as we all know he died

2) he prevented akatsuki from attacking konoha while he was alive

3) his plan with sasuke has not yet finished. He has implemented a nearly flawless back-up plan by the name of naruto.

p.s. because of sasuke reunion with itachi, sasuke is questioning everything he has done.

Agreed with oro but why nagato and kabuto?

with Nagato we were robbed of a potentially fantastic fight, plus Nagato as a skilled sensor and rinnegan user should have avoided the totsuka sword easily. as to kabuto, he was way stronger than both itachi and sasuke, and while imo a lame villian compared to orochimaru, he was defeated by an asspull jutsu that a. retconned the need to have both uchiha and senju dna to use izanagi and b. would never work in battle except on someone like kabuto. there was really absolutely no point in itachi defeating kabuto, there were only like 3-4 edo tensei left. kishi just wanted to give itachi more feats and another farewell

exactly. remembering that his time in akatsuki and also subsequent protection of konoah meant that the ninetails was never captured. had akatsuki tried to capture naruto before naruto obtained bijuu mode, they would have most likely caught him easily, and the current juubi would be much more powerful

1) He did prevent the war..AT THAT TIME...... back then the war would have started because of the uchihas , and it wouldn't have been a joint war.. it would have been village against village, this war is a totally different thing.. tobi declaring war on all the villages.... Moot point


2) Yet another moot point, he once again protected Konoha from the uchihas, and he had a deal with tobi protecting konoha straight up untill he passed away.. he literally saved naruto from being taken as a kid...Really? Oro? why would you bring that up? in no way does itachi have anything to do with that.. Did hashirama fail at protecting the village because oro attacked it? did minato fail? what does itachi have to do with oro hating the third hokage?

3) Itachi's plan would have actually worked, if it weren't for unforseen circumstances HE COULD NOT predict... he had back up plans on back up plans.. he knew tobi would attempt to persuade sasuke to hate the leaf thus he implanted amaterasu...if that failed, he still had KA in naruto that would turn him good...but once again an unforseen occurence (him being revived by edo tensei and put to fight naruto) foiled that.... Noone can predict everything... not even shikkaku could forsee that...

Not trolling, just mistakes, he admitted things didn't go as plan...noone can be perfect, he said so himself
