when Itachi slaughtered the clan he left sasuke alive because he loved him and he didn't know anything about the clans plans. So while thats fair an all, i really doubt that sasuke was the only innocent child in the clan, what about some of the babies there might of been why would itachi have killed them if they didn't know anything

Well first off his misson was to wipe out the whole uchiha clan but not his brother beccause he loved him more than he did the village
