After watching the latest Naruto anime episode, it proved that Itachi awakened his Mangekyou Sharingan due to shisui committing suicide.. This whole time I had thought Itachi awakened the Mangekyou the night he killed the Uchiha Clan & his parents!?!? I hope I wasn't the only thinking this >.< lmao..​

Sasuke saw Itachi use his Mangekyou and always wondered what it was. The clan was alive then and that means he musty have gained it before. Shisui's death would have been the only thing before that to awaken his MS. You didn't need to watch the latest episodes to know, it's logic applied to manga events.

No, he didn't. It was proven in the manga back in pt1 that it was due to witnessing Shisui's death because when those 3 Uchiha jounin came to interrogate him, Itachi blitzed them, gave them a speech about how it was bad for the clan to be so self-absorbed/simple-minded and then proceeded to turn on his MS to show his father. He had MS before the massacre.
