Nagato has top tier reflexes, and didn't perceive it from 30+ meters (or else he would have diverted it telekinetically.)

Here, it traversed several hundred meters instantly with multiple slashes, making the heads hit the ground simultaenously:

Uchiha Madara called the items invincible in offense and defense.

How many times are you going to make this thread? and no itachi is over estimated. your assumption about the totsuka blade is wrong as well. Nagato was sealed due to plot not becouse he could not react and orochimaru was sealed cause he didnt know what the sword was until it was too late and allowed himself to get hit. The sword could be dodged, it does not have amaterasu speed or anything.

The plot is everything, and within the plot, the sword is too fast for him to react to. (Despite him stomping Naruto.)

Hence why the Totsuka's called the absolutely perfect offense.

And just imagine if itachi wasn't the self-less hero he was. Imagine if he really took sasuke's eyes and acquired EMS. Imagine if after that itachi were to get hashirama dna from oro and inject it into himself. Not only will he get rinnegan but also solve his low chakra and stamina problem. Itachi had extreme amounts of potential, enough to even surpass hashirama and madara, people need to respect the character and the potential he had

Itachi basically hid and attempted to attack.
Nagato was surprised 'cause Itachi formed Susano'o while Nagato wasn't paying attention.
Even though Nagato was cripple, Itachi still had to do cheap shots.

Nagato could've avoided it if he could walk.
