Itachi's hype is a lie

Throughout the entire series Itachi's hype was "he slaughtered his entire clan single handedly" but he didn't actually do it single handedly. Tobi most likely killed most of them. Not trying to take anything away from Itachi, just his hype is a lie

EDIT: Everyone getting butt hurt about this, Itachi is one of my favorite and I'm not saying he's weak. In fact, in part 2 he showed us he was much stronger than we all even though. All I'm saying is that initial hype he had was a lie, but he doesn't need it because his feats>

The uchiha massacre was probably the most stupid thing he did or the only mistake he did. This is probably the only action that discredits his intelligence. He let danzo dominate him and he was rushed when he could have done something else.

He is hyped for other things not because of the uchiha massacre. Uchiha's with regulars sharingans are not that powerful and are slightly powerful than a regular shinobi w/o a sharingan. There are only few among the uchiha that are gifted with powerful eyes and body. This is the reason why only 5-6 uchiha were able to manage to go beyond three tomoe or gain MS power in generations.

killing defenseless regular uchiha villagers while they were most likely asleep. Stabbing them from behind and from the shadows is nothing to be proud of or nothing to be hyped for. Remember the uchiha massacre was at night were most of the uchiha were caught off guard.

Killing off his clan wasn't what he was being hyped about. That's just plain dumb. He just got his notoriety from it. What was really being hyped about him is the fact that he became an Anbu squad leader at such a young age, his unrivaled prowess with genjutsu and taijutsu, his calm disposition even in the heat of battle, his disposing of Oro in a matter of seconds ( literally ), his genius, and his undying devotion to the Hidden Leaf.
Most of the arguments here are really, well.......?

Soooooo man butthurt Itachi fans. I will admit, the thread title is a little misleading, but what he says is true! Itachi had help, and he killed a community that was mostly asleep. It really isn't much of a feat of power at all.
