almost every character in naruto have some kind of weapon, sasuke with his sword, gai with his nunchaku, pain with his black swords, and bee with seven swords, kisme and samehade, etc..

it is possible that itachis gift could have been some kind of weapon, like the staff of the sage of the six paths!

and we still havnt seen sasuke use the mirror of yata and sword of totsuka remember!

and since zetsu was able to perform a time delayed jutsu - its not impossible that itachi could have done the same! - meaning a time delayed jutsu for the sword and the shield to return to naruto after his death!

I think you should switch Byakugan to wisdom and the miror symbol which fit more with one of the greatest technique of the hyuga clan.

And switch sharingan to Valor and the sword symbol.

Naruto probably already posses the benevolant aspect and itachi would rather have given him what is symbolized as the sword in the theory

Just a stab. Remember when Naruto first met Nagato and it showed the 9 tails attacking Nagato. Think that was a little bit of the power Itachi gave Naruto? Nagato asked if he did that on purpose. Maybe a little foreshadowing by the man.:no_ignore:

Hi, if Itachis gift to Naruto is something like -->
"so you see,the gift itachi gave to Naruto is simply the "Yasakani" no Magatama",and it will help naruto to show Sasuke that there is still some light in himself!!"

Then if its for the good of his brother, why warn naruto and hope not to use this power later on.?

He might have also stored chakra inside naruto so that if it came down to it Itachi could maybe have a long overdue conversation with Sasuke somehow through Naruto

While Naruto and sasuke are fighting itachis gift to Naruto will bloom. It's going to be tsukiyomi(idk how to spell it) its going to trap sasuke in a genjutsu and reveal the good side of sasuke to himself or something like that. Then no more bad sasuke. Maybe its going to be like how Minato spoke to Naruto.

I highly doubt this speculation for two reasons:

1. Whatever it was Itachi was not looking forward to Naruto using this power. Minato kind of wanted to see his son and knew the day would come.

2- More importantly Zetsu's comment- Zetsu said that Itachi's movement were slower than usual and he commented that it seemed that Itachi had some serious powerloss just before the start of the fight. He suspected smething was off. That makes me think Itachi shared something important with Naruto than just a MMS.
