[Discussion] Itachi's disease...?

So we all know itachi used to cough up blood, right?

Well let me explain what I think....

Itachi was constantly taking on new anbu missions.... he might not have had the time to eat often, plus being constantly worried about his clan, the fate of his brother, his possible uchiha vs village war......many things.....

This could have all depressed him and he could have lost appetite often, he might also never had time to eat after missions or within the akatsuki.....

Could this have resulted in a gastric ulcer? The stomach acid eradicating the stomach's wall and resulting in bleeding.....the constant bleeding resulting in coughing of blood......also, the pain, as I have felt because of personal experience......it's really unbeatable.....it could have hindered his fights, debilitating his outcome in the fight vs sasuke..... but that was alright because it was the expected outcome. His life for his brother's life....


What do you guys think?

It's not aids, considering that he showed absolutely no symptoms of that. Itachi doesn't seem like that type of person either and I don't think he's that shallow. He was willing to give up his own happiness for Konoha and Sasuke & was really busy, I doubt he would do that type of stuff.

His disease reminded me more of TB. It could also be what you were saying. But then again, everyone that is posting in this thread is just overthinking it. Kishimoto himself probably doesn't even know what the disease is supposed to be. He just wrote it to nerf Itachi, the same way he made Nagato crippled (oh as if there isn't some medical ninjutsu that can cure Nagato and make him mobile again. :/ Nagato himself can bring thousands of people back to life, but cannot find something to fix his legs...really).

I guess Im the only one that thinks of his disease as some crazy Uchiha disease no one knows about lmao. No matter how logical your guess is, its more likely to be So6pancreatic cancer in the manga

i don't even think Kishi knows what Itachi's disease was/he didn't think about it.

it's just a fictional disease created by the writer for plot purposes, also similar diseases existed in other countless anime's/Manga's that had the same symptoms (coughing blood) which is just a dramatic way to show how sick a character really is.

I realize that you were joking and I actually thought that it was quite funny. I just decided to post that due to thinking about the other things people have posted about Itachi and other characters on these forums and for some reason just felt the sudden need to put that out there. :/
