I'm a little new to the base so I don't know how to put scans in BUT here we go! We all know itachi was sick but from what? No one really knew and just said he has Heros disease or aids.. However it's quite clear what he was sick with. During sasuke vs itachi he vividly explained madaras dilemma, madara overused his mangekyo sharingan and gained these symptoms. Blurred vision to eventual blindness, horrible chest pains, coughing up blood. Later when sasuke fought danzo sasuke who had overused the MS experience these exact same symptoms. Grabbing his chest in pain coughing up blood and blurred vision. THIS is what itachi was sick with.

Reason for Itachi coughing blood or holding his chest were due to Susannoo ....

Ever cell in the body is in pain when u use it that is the risk of it so this proves that Itachi was not having any disease

the effects from overusing the mangekyo sharigan are only side effects. Its not a disease
itachi died from a diseased that wasnt described to us

thats not what he said at all
if you abuse amaterasu and tsukyomi you gradually lose your vision (light)
if you abuse susanoo then your body begins to hurt down to every cell
coughing blood is not a side effect or horrible chest pains.

madara was never on his deathbed up until he lost to hashirama. he was only going blind from overusing his mangekyo sharingan.
izuna was on his deathbed when he gave madara his eyes restoring his vision
