I understand the broken arm lol but they were tramatized or in coma if i remember correctly

it was somehow foreshadowed... but in a brilliant way... we never could say for certain if he was really evil or not, thus we assumed he was evil. what fun would a plot twist be if it wasnt a plot twist after all? tbh i think itachi is pretty much the best written char/story in the whole manga..... no fanboying here its my honest opinion... i remember the day i ****ing hated him for being so cruel. but still wondered why he spared sasuke, why he didnt kill kakashi and the rest, why he didnt even fight jiraya etc... and i still remember how devastated i was when i found out that he was a good guy after all

He was aware that they would be fine (albeit I doubt he knew Tsunade would do it) as they'd wake up anyway + be taken to the hospital as Jiraiya was there to take care of it. And Gai was there for Kakashi.

Though, he didn't know when they'd wake up- he used Tsukyomi to knock them out (avoid killing them) but the time the victim is out depends upon their own mental strength. Hence why Kakashi got 72 hours and was out for a day but Sasuke got a third of that and was out longer. He can't control that.

I buy it. Forgetting about the tears from itachi and unlocking sharingan that fateful night explains why he had 2T in one of his eyes during the land of waves arc. Brilliant imo

1. Itachit could hv killed a lot of leaf ninja but didnt. Sasuke, Naruto, and Kakashi, Kurinai, and Surutobi's Kid and with the help of Kisame i believe Jariya would of had a hard time. one Sannin couldnt deal with him and he evaded him easily and made him look so weak and insignificant. He always showed a lot of restraint when fighting a Kanoh Ninja. People always forget Itachi was one of the strongest ninjas ever if he wanted you dead you would be dead.

2. He knew Kakashi was strong or possible didnt care and used him as collateral damage. But with Sasuke it was all part of him becoming stronger if he couldnt survive a Tsukiyomi he couldnt survive everything else he was goin to go through.Or maybe it was part of his plan to make Jariya and Naruto go find lady Tsunade so she could be the next hokage and not Danzo. Knowing she is the best medical Nin and could be one of the ppl to cure their minds and with the new hokage tht he trusted just died he probably wanted someone who wasnt the elders who made him destroy his clan and be powerful enough to be hokage. keep in mind he is a genius and a amazing strategist

From the Kobayashi interview Kishi had, this is what he had to say:

However, at the point where Itachi is actually introduced, Kishimoto had decided to secretly make him a good guy, but the reason he did something bad was because of circumstances.

exactely. its the little details we fail to notice. but sadly most people just say stupid things like "retcon" and "plot" just cause theyre too stupid and cant see stuff like that...

Good or bad, I enjoyed the way he was introduced in the manga and how he kicked Kakashi's ass so easily. He was impressive to say the least and I liked him even though he was a bad guy.

Lol, same. I don't know why people think liking villains in anime is a big deal. Itachi was awesome as a villain too.
