Let's put this in perspective.

The only things that Itachi has that Madara doesn't, are the Yata Mirror, Totsuka, And infinite Tsukuyomi. A sword of sealing, a 72 hour genjutsu and a shield of invincibility.

I'm not going to list everything that Madara has, because I'm just that lazy.

Madara will overpower any genjutsu attacks, seeing that he is the Shinju/Jūbi's jin. The only way way he's is going to get his Totsuko sword into Madara, would be because of Madara own stupidity or sheer luck. The Yata mirror will only face one direction. This will give Madara the advantage with his ridiculas speed. If Itachi can't re-stance his shield fast enough(highly unlikely) he will get wrecked.

Sasuke didn't even defeat Sasuke, who didn't even have a Mangekyo Sharingan. If Itachi didn't have his illness, thing would have gone different.

That's how I see it happening. I never really participate in this stuff.
