Kishi is the creator, therefore he does not wank over any character..
Itachi is the solo God simple as that, Kishi even recognized this, hence why the show is called Itachi Shippuden. The Naruto part of the English translation is just a mistranslation, which they are very sorry for.

I don't see a problem with it. It wasn't wank, just an off-hand comment black zetsu made to get Sasuke annoyed.
Also, it's not only for Itachi that Kishimoto does this. He likes to throw in compliments and hype for both Itachi & Minato. Those two have received that treatment constantly, even if they're dead.
And, for people mentioning favs here, Kishimoto hasn't ever stated that Itachi was his fav overall. However, he has stated this regarding characters:
Fav Hokage: Minato
Fav Akatsuki member: Itachi
Fav Kunoichi: Anko
Coolest looking character: Sasuke
Character he relates most to: Naruto (he stated that Naruto was a reflection of himself)
Favs overall currently: Killer Bee and Choji.
Btw, Itachi's name being mentioned wasn't that random..at all really. Sasuke has always been compared to Itachi, since pt1 & BZ was in Akatsuki with Itachi. How is that random? That's the first person Sasuke would be compared with.
This thread isn't the result of the frustration you felt as a Madara fan when he got pawned by black zetsu, is it? Because it seems that way. xD

actually it seems like more of a clue. For sasuke to ask what the zetsu are for. And him to respond with itachi. It was as to say, itachi would of been able to deduce the intent and purpose of it with all of the information already provided to us. Which is to also say, we the reader should be able to. Or not. Maybe theres something sasukes rinnegan should see but hes too stupid. Either way the fact that itachi would of been able to assess the situation was my point. Deduce intent and purpose all on his own like sherlock holmes or some shit. No questions or help needed for itachi.
