Itachi vs Sasori

guys hv u seen orochimaru when observing a 10 year old sasuke dodging kunais with his eyes closed.

My point is sasori's poisonous needles shouldn't be a problem for itachi to dodge.

This thread pleasses me to see how well this thread is going ive never seen an Itachi vs Sasori thread on NB(as far as I can recall)and Sasori threads dont happen to often its usually always Itachi vs Nagato or Itachi vs Minato about time Sasori was in a good vs threadwease:

Sasori has the uperhand here.

Taijutsu= even thought Itachi can read the movements, there is a difference between the movements of a puppet and a human, puppets don't have bones they can do moves that we humans can't and make them unpredictable EVEN FOR SHARINGAN.

Genjutsu= Puppets don't have nervous system, genjutsu works through it.

Ninjutsu= Amaterasu can be blocked by the body switching or sasori himself sacrificing a puppet to shield him.

Itachi's best bet is on Susanoo..... WHICH SOME PEOPLE ARE UNDERSTIMATING, Totsuka blade can cut through material things, just like it cut throught yamata orochi's heads. The problem here, is that totsuka blade won't be able to seal anything, but it will help destroy a bunch of sasori's puppets, and let him amaterasu the real when the other puppets are destroyed.

But then, we have sasori and his poison mist in which I got no idea how Itachi will defend himself to this. And we also have Iron Sand which can take any form sasori wants. and that without counting Sasori's body himself.

I go for Sasori.
in the databook it is shown that Itachi only has 1 more point than Sasori which in my opinion is no big deal.

Don't understimate Sasori.

god this thread is infested by itachi fanboys.

one scratch is all that sasori needs to win this. while itachi needs to aim on sasori's heart which ofcourse protected very well.

susanoo cannot protect itachi from poison mist even with yata mirror, anyone that will say yata mirror can block gas is insane and needs to go back to 1st grade. sasori can use iron sand/puppets to block amaterasu.

the only reason why chio and sakura survived sasori is because they have the antidote. without it itachi is dead meat.

I've read all the arguments here. and every explanation on itachi side has no basis or all assumption by fanboys. itachi fanboys failed at this thread.

i beilive sasori is highly capable of beating itachi, he's poision would be problem, itachi's specialty(genjutsu) won't do anything to him... Imo sasori looks like he's underrated all the time, but sasori could beat itachi..

We all now itachi would win. Sasori lost to sakura and if itachi fought sakura he would kill her.

yea but sakura had the antidote to his poison.. i dont think itachi carries around an antidote to sasori's poison.. if sasori just scratches itachi he'd be done

All of sasori puppets have a special jutsu i dont think someone like him would just kill weak people to make them puppet and there a few with sharigan and think does sharigans do work since they where maybe give by orochimaru

why do people say amaterasu will finish him easy???? you guys amaterasu is overrated like kamui -_- really....

itachi only use amaterasu has a last resort when he was trap by J-man he use it and got really weak after that so 1 amaterasu and his skill drops a bit

Not only that is sasori know about ti is really easy to move before it hit just look at itachi eye and when a drop of blood is coming out MOVE!!!

Here we go again with people underrating Sasori. All anyone can say is Itachi's on a whole other level then the rest of the akatsuki. I have news for some of you, this isn't DBZ. Naruto is all about matchups.

While one character may be stronger overall than the other that doesn't mean they would beat them in a fight.

Itachi has no way of avoiding Sasori's poison, his genjutsu is useless since Sasori is a puppet, amaterasu is useless for reasons stated by the op, so the only thing left is susanoo. I'm not even sure the totsuka sword would work since it seals the soul of the person, but Sasori's a puppet so I don't believe he has a soul. I know he has a heart.

I think Sasori can take this.

Itachi would use Susanoo,and with Totsuka sword he wouldnt steal his soul,it damages and steals the soul thats right,but if it wouldnt steal the soul,it would damage sasori! And Itachi has Fire Jutsus,the puppets are made from wood,so... I guess u understand what i mean

I'm not some naruto expert but her's my take on it.
Itachi is healthy witch means he can use the Amaterasu for a longer time than before. And remember if Amaterasu touches Anything it will burn untill it's gone so if Sasoris ''Body'' Gets touched there is a big chance that his heart will catch on fire to and the battle is over. But if sasori somehow manage to dodge it and use his 100 puppets or whatever Susano'o Will maybe just grab them and crush them? And with Amaterasu Itachi can just burn every puppet Sasori Uses and if not Sosano'o can protect from almost every angel if not all. I have to go with Itachi on this one. But i don't know a lot about Sasori so i may be Wrong

You can debate all you want guys but the bottom line in any entertaining fight is the surprises ... we've seen one real fight with Sasori (vs Sakura and Chiyo) and one real fight with Itachi (vs Sasuke), I don't mean the one minute, two minute, five minute, or ten minute fights, I mean the long drawn out KO or Death fights and in both fights we saw what all great epic hero fights have surprises in technique, skill, ability, weapon, etc. something that we didn't know they had IE: 3rd Kazekage, 100 puppets, puppet body, intricate genjutsu layering skills, Susanoo, Totsuka. The reason these comparisons are inaccurate is because we don't know what new things Kishimoto would give them for this fight.

I just realized that this would be an amazing fight..
Because sasori is a puppet. And it renders all genjutsu from itachi useless..

Amaterasu is useless because of the ability to switch from one puppet to another. Thanks to his one central point.

Susanoo cannot be used as an offense here, but as a very solid defense.
Totsuka sword would be useless. Unless it hit the core.

Tsukyomi doesn't work as he is a puppet.

Itachi has to resort to his base jutsus, in which he is amazing like any other ninjas.
The sharingan helps him to predict most if not all of sasori's movements.

ONCE again, everyone thinks itachi is a freaken monster. Does everyone know that ONE SCRATCH FROM SASORI and the match is over already. ONE BREATH of poison gas, and itachi is dead. This one of the strongest poison in all of naruto, that I consider extremely OP. In under ONE MINUTE, itachi will not be able to move a SINGLE MUSCLE. Sakura fought sasori with antidotes, she wouldve been a goner a long time ago. ITS REALLY REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT ITACHI CAN DODGE EVERYSINGLE ONE of sasori's SECRET WEAPONS. lol, Genjutsu doesn't work...sasori is a puppet, a puppet needs a host. Sasori's orginal body is consider a puppet, and the host is the little heart that keeps the puppet alive. That little heart that pumps through sasori is what itachi has to put under genjutsu, and that sounds nonsense putting a seal under genjutsu. You guys overate itachi too much lol, and surely one person will reply to me saying "itachi's sharigan can see through all of sasoris attack, so itachi can win the battle without getting scratched by sasori."
