in my opinion itachi would win because we all now that pain is weak against genjutsu and itachi is one hell of genjutsu user

Itachi was definetely smarter then Pein and had an invencible Susano'o but that would only take him so far against Pein..

It will definately be one of the most epic battles ever fought and im sure Itachi will be able to take atleast 3 bodies with him, but i must admit Pein is on another level to everyone, including NARUTO!

pain wins! Itachis genjutsu woudnt be as useful against pain as you might think. There are 6 pains and they could easily release one another from any genjutsu itachi uses since itachis jutsu seems to only effect 1 opponent at a time and jiraiya once explained that a teammate can bring you out of a genjutsu quite easily by attacking you and disrupting your chakra.

Nagato wins this battle as Itachi has no counter for Chibuku Tensei. He doesn't have anything with the power of 8-tails of Kyuubi strength so he would have no way of breaking free from it.

itachi isnt some dumb ninja. he is the smartest ninja so far. his speed is way beyond jirayah and more smarter (no offence jiriyah). furteher more he is also a genius in nin and tai jutsu.


Fat pain will abosorb amaterasu (which is true) but what about the rest of them. it travels at the speed of light.

itachi can cast tsukuyomi on more than one opponat. rememer when he was fighting kakashi, asumsa, kurenai, he told them to cloes there eyes because he knew only a better sharingan could befeat it. not evan sasuke sharigan could (itachi let him break out). he will figure out pains secrates like he did with madara.

pain is one hell of a fighter but itachi is also. it will be a close match.

pain is treated very high (dont want to say god because im a religious person)
so is itachi. when he defeated diederia he look like he was the buddha. he sat on a thron before him and sasuke stared to fight each other. madara treated him with alot of respect and madara has seen the best, fought the best (1st hokage and 4th hokage ect)

in what way. ok power but thats it. itachi is smarter faster and more skilled. and dont say that he was scared of jiriyah because he was only using that as an excuse.

itachi knows when to use jutsu and he never underestimate his opponent. he is a genius evan among the uchihas.

a good tactic to defeat pain is too be sneeky and TO NOT KILL BUT ASSASSINATE each body like itachi did when he ASSASSINATE his clan.

itachi would win.the rinnegan is an eye dojutsu and tsukuyomi is a eye genjutsu so it would make since that tsukuyomi would work on pein and since they all share the same eyesight when one gets trapped in the genjutsu they all get trapped even if one of the pein has others in the shadow they would all share the same fate because they're all looking into the same eye, and there's no way you can break itachis' tsukuyomi so even if the others weren't caught in them they wouldn't be able to use them for the rest of the battle it's that simple i wish it wasn't, but it is.
