1) Pain has 6 paths
2) He didnt even used shinra tensei against itachi
3) yata mirror cannot hold against shinra tensei
4) ameratsu can be evaded by shinra tesnei
5) Chibaku tensei can only be encountered against a big attack which itachi alone cannot destroy

Pain wins this. I just can't see Itachi lasting long enough to beat Deva path, let alone all of the other paths. It took sage mode naruto, base naruto, the frogs, AND hinata to wear him down and in the end, the nine tails had to even chip in. Also, Pain took on the entire village before naruto came. He's good no doubt but Itachi just can't win IMO.
