itachi vs pain

As the title says, do you guys think pain beat itachi? I've been having a lot of argument with one of friend that pain cannot beat itachi because itachi is an elite ninja. But he still believes pain can beat itachi?? What is your opinion guys

Pain beat many elite ninja. Itachi's genjutsu is worthless vs multiple opponents, amaterasu won't work too much with the preta, deva and naraka paths, the summons will overwhelm him and he has no counter for shinra tensei by himself. i can't see him doing any better than jiraiya, probably worse.

Itachi would be able to track the chakra signals back to an immobilized Pain ... then Totsuka.

Chibaku Tensei/Big Shinra Tensei>Itachi
The 5 paths would get fodderized quite easily but Tendo can beat Itachi.
Shinra Tensei>Amaterasu
Bansho Tenin/Chibaku Tensei>Susanno
Tsukuyomi is useless since the paths can't feel pain.
By the time Itachi is done with Chikushodo, Shurado, and Preta, he would be too tired to take on Deva. No that it would make that make much of a difference.

Well he can beat all paths but Deva in my opinion even if it was 5 paths (without Deva) Vs. Itachi he would win. It's the Deva path that's the problem.

This will be a tough fight but pain will win this.Itachi may counter almost all of pains abilities including their linked vision but he doesn't have the fire power to get out of chibaku tensei.

Talking Pain or Nagato here? I know they're technically the same person, but some people think Deva Path is Pain.

Anyways:

Nagato>Itachi>Deva Path

There's simply no way Itachi could beat Nagato alone, he barely won with Naruto and Bees help. Without it, no way...

It's also pretty obvious that he would have gotten caught in Chibaku had it not been for Naruto and Bee.
