when did this happen? madara had a perfect opportunity to try this on bm naruto and relied on mokuton instead. the ONLY power that can strip one of their bijuu powers.

Itachi's sense's and insight are far beyond that of any other in the manga. Deflecting attacks that he should logically have no way of coutnering.
his senses and insight failed him multiple times. and hes alive here so wasting chakra is a hugely bad idea
Itachi's Sharingan also has a natural counter for Sasuke. Itachi was in possesion of Shisui's eye while he was alive
it couldnt activate until after itachis death. so its useless here
He's even able to rig it to react to his own Mangekyou. Sasuke possesing Itachi's eyes would immediantly fall for this and be under Itachi's control .
