Intel: Itachi knows the real pain isn't there amount got the paths and full akatsuki Intel that you would expect Itachi to have. Nagato knows nothing because Itachi is secretive.

Mindset: Blood lusted

Itachi is supposed to replace Naruto in the battle against pain. Same location same number of paths. I think Itachi wins. What about you? Genjustu god status is enough but his whole are arsenal of sharingan techniques and ninjutsu and taijutsu make him more formidable.

Chikushodo is retarded, so no summon blitz
Shurado is also retarded, so no missile blitz
Ningendo can't do much
Gakido can't absorb black flames
Jigokudo also can't do much

If SoSP fights properly, then Chikushodo can solo, Shurado can secure a draw.

Doesn't manga say that Rinnegan is immune to visual genjutsu?

Soul Dragon can be reflected via YM, and there's nothing else he can do at that point.

CST isn't feasible when he'd have a spiritual ethereal, magical blade in his abdomen. Portrayal wise he was implied to be a superior Shinobi to Hashirama of all people whereas Nagato was believed to be the 2nd Coming of the Sage of the Six Paths - that was albeit false info, and a 'god' - a moniker that Hashirama tangentially possesses.

I'm picking Nagato.

1. When Itachi got out of Kabuto's control he still needed Naruto and Killer Bee's help to stop Planetary Devastation despite knowing it's weakness & he only got him in the Totskua Blade because Nagato had limited movements. Let's not forget Nagato repelled the Amaterasu as well.

2. Itachi literally admitted that Nagato had better sensory awareness than he did when fighting Kabuto.
