This is a good one I hope Blaze jumps in on this one. Well I do think that Itachi would take this but in all honesty i dont see either one surviving if they fought each other ultimatly it would come down to who utilizes their strongest jutsu's first. As far as analysts go I belive that Itachi is the smarter fighter considering he doesnt have the conjoined vision of the 6 paths like nagato has. However Nagato has much more life, chakra and vitality than Itachi. Key Jutsu's for Nagato in this fight are chibaku tensie and the one that can absorb chakra. Key jutsu's for Itachi are Tsukyomi and Izanami. I know its not easy to catch a rinnegan user with genjutsu but those two are Itachi's top genjutsu arsenal's (not counting Kotoamatsukami, that one was for Sasuke and no one else)

Just think about it, you have itachis huge intellectual ability and over 3-4 one shot techniques that can end nagato in the spot.

Nagatos paths are not going to be a challenge for susanoo. After all the paths are gone, what's left?

Nothing. Summons are also pretty useless against an amaturasu user.

I'd say it's unlikely. The stamina needed to take Pain when he's fixated on one enemy and not being controlled is too much.

What are you talking about? Itachi would destroy anyone from the leaf village. Then he can just set the whole damn village on fire with amaturasu. All it takes is a couple of people running around with it and spreading it all over the village.

Stamina is irrevalent when you have 4 one shot techniques in your arsenal and amazing chajra control. You obviously don't recognize how much itachi really has.

Or you think no one in the shinobi world has a counter almost all jounin level shinobi should be able to counter that attack using one speed (sasuke did) two substitution and if you forgot sealing justu works perfectly well Jiraya did it and they are people who has better seals than jiraya and to make matter worst Itachi can spam amaterasu to burn a whole village???
