what??? itachi can beat minato? actually its really no contest at all. you see minato beat tobi. easily the gap between tobi and minato are too far. while itachi knowing tobi would become a threat to konoha didnt dare to kill tobi. if he is stronger than minato he would easily stomp tobi with his powerful technique more easy than minato if you think he is stronger. itachi wanted to kill tobi to prevent him from getting to his brother, but why in the hell did he put a amaterasu to activate when sasuke see's tobis sharingan to just caught tobi offguard why didnt he just tried to kill him when he is alive???if he really is stronger than minato he can do it easy. so i say no way he can beat minato if he is just around the level of tobi U_U

Itachi vs Minato: minato uses toad summons, Itachi uses susanoo seals first toad, Minato summons another toad, Itachi uses Amaterasu, Minato summons third toad But knows all possible threats from Itachi, counters then wins. Itachi's genjustu could be effective but it's 2 v 1 now so it gets complicated. Even worse case scenario if Minato doesn't underestimate Itachi he'll most likely win. lol this is funny first of all in order to use tskuyomi he needs to close his eye for about a second he does that every time he is about to use it same with amaterasu during that one second minato can already put the tag on him and its all ready over once its on him all most of hope of winning is gone for itachi how ever itachi can still win it all depends on what they do you cant really tell witch one will win but what sad is you itachi fan boys immediatly say itachi well win with out any facts i myself am a minato fan but this match can go either way

Minato hands down based on minato's info he was stated to be very intelligent and having such knowlegde and "skills" he obiviously would know about the sharingan abilites susanno is effective but but what good losing charka every minute if u cant touch minato also minato is known for his summoning and sealing .

First, for all those who's sayin that sharingan can't keep up with minato this is false. Sharingan is more than enough to keep up with base speed minato. This was proven when sasuke fought against raikage. When A and Minato fought against each other A was using his raiton body flicker V1, minato only dodged A only because of ftg, not because of his base speed. A is leaps and bounds faster than minato with just his V1 raiton body flicker, yet Sasuke with just 3t sharingan was able to predict and dodge raikage. It wasn't until he went into his V2 state that sharingan was rendered useless. What sharingan cannot keep up with is ftg which will give itachi a large amount of trouble.

Second, minato is not impervious to sharingan base genjustu, no one is impervious to genjustu period. Also just because u look into an uchiha's eyes doesn't mean that you'll automatically be put in genjustu, the uchiha must USE genjustu ( I mean come, reading some of the post on this thead makes me wonder if this isn't obvious. Smh) all uchiha or in that matter anyone with a sharingan doesn't automatically resort to genjustu the moment they've made eye contact with there enemy, only itachi has been shown doin this due to fact that he's a genjustu master.

How does Minato know of itachis fighting style or abilitys........Itachi was a child when minato was hokage so minato would be clueless to itachis ability's. itachi was not only around when minato was alive he has shown that he is knowledgeable in the villages history so its highly unlikely that he does not know of minatos ability's.this gives itachi an extreme edge over minato.Fighting common uchiha and abnormally strong ones like itachi shisui madara sasuke izuna are completely different things.

MS ability's varies between users so minato wont assume that all of them are then same. the only abnormally strong uchiha that minato has heard of is madara.....and itachi and madara both fight incredibly differently. so if minato was to base itachis abilitys off of those of madara would be a deadly mistake for minato....Tbh i cant see anyone defeating itachi or minato without knowledge...and i dont see how minato would have any knowledge on someone who was 5 years old( And didnt have MS)when he died.....on top of itachis extremely unique fighting style which no one else in this series seems to share itachi will have the upperhand due to being around to know of minatos ability's and because of minatos lack of knowledge on itachi. If both have full/no knowledge on each others ability's well that's more of a debate

Itachi said himself that izanami is not a good technique suitable in a fight. Kabuto was the perfect opponent against Izanami could work since Itachi saw through his weakness when he was talking about his self-story(wanted to be someone else), and Minato is not like that

Itachi's only chance is genjutsu for me, cuz Minato is too fast for him. It's said that the Raikage is too fast that Sharingan can't even follow him and if you can't follow something, casting an eye to eye genjutsu is useless. So Minato who is even faster it will be even much more difficult. Only chance to cast a genjutsu for Itachi is to wait and try to fix him eye to eye when Minato is immobile and close enough to him, but i don't see it happening cuz it's pretty obvious that Minato has at least basic (or maybe even full) knowledge about Sharingan since he knew exactly that Tobi couldn't control the Kyubi for too long for example. That means he learned enough about the hypnotic power of the sharingan to do such a stupid error especially when you know his genius(both of them are genius though)

Minato is much more faster than him and he only needs to touch you one time(putting his marking on you) in close combat to be able to finish the fight anytime he wants thanks to FTG. Itachi would most likely have knowledge about that since he was born after Minato, so he knows that his only chance is to avoid close combat but against someone as fast as Minato, he would be forced to use Susanoo to protect himself and he doesn't have enough stamina to keep up Susanoo for too long. Even for guys like Sasuke or Madara who have much more chakra, we've even seen that in most of their fights they don't use Susanoo all the time cuz of side effects of this jutsu. That's why if he struggles even a bit, Minato could take this opportunity to finish the fight

Minato could even finish the fight much more quicker if he manages to push Itachi into the radius of his FTG jutsu and the radius of this jutsu is great something Itachi most likely doesn't possibly know. So he could fail to notice when it's already over, and that could help Minato to teleport either attacks direct to him(Itachi) with his space time barrier or teleport himself inside Susanoo and finish him

Another possibility could be to destroy/immobilise Susanoo and the user by using Gamabunta(exactly like how he did with the Kyubi), and take advantage smh. There is also another possibility but i think this is already enough to explain why i see Minato winning most likely

And second he dodged his top speed that was like Wat almost 20 yrs ago, and even if he was In V2 it still doesn't exempt the fact that the only reason he dodge A from rearranging his face was bc of Ftg, and definitely does not exempt anything i said about sharingan keeping up with minato's base speed.. also I have a question for u.

Itachi never said that Izanami could only be used on a specific type of person and he said it was not a good tech for a fight because it offers your opponent a way out.......anyone can be put in izanami
