Itachi vs Minato (Not the same as other threads. READ FIRST)

I wanna know how ftg is a powerup. Last time I checked minato is always in a base state.. If that jutsu is a powerup then rasengan is a powerup and so is fireball jutsu right?

Itachi is never in a powered up state. Well I guess his ms is arguable. But then again his ms is a double edged sword.

You're forgetting what makes these two so damn awesome is that they fight woth their own ninja power and abilities and aren't reliant on outside sources of power(cough cough naruto)

Anyway imo a powerup is something like super saiyan, sage mode or chakra mode. It powers up every aspect of your being

None of their tools (FTG and MS) are considerd "power-ups" as they are what makes them unique. I just took away these elements so that people won't start flaming wars about "Minato FTG FTW" or "Itachi Tsukiuyomi/Susanoo/Amaterasu is an instant PWN."

before minato could recognize and break genjutsu that would take more than 4-5seconds he would be dead if itachi's serious. Minato won't even see itachi's hand seak speed. Minato may be faster but it will not be enough to cause a problem cous of the sharingan and itachi has a 5 in speed he himself is not slow

i gotta say Itachi after a long battle. its been shown Itachi has great fire based ninjutsu, can reverse genjutsu easily, and is skilled in taijutsu. Minato is skilled in taijutsu, but no proof is shown he cud easily escape genjutsu and rasengan is his only advantage, which without teleportation isnt as effective as usual. Thus i make it a close call but Itachi pullin out the win

minato has 1000 jutsu huh? :rofl: i doubt minato would use summon against small shinobi. Summon is either used against summons or bigger targets

You guys can say what you want. There is no way itachi can take on giant freaking toads and minato at the same time. Itschi cant even move when he has someone under genjutsu. Leaving him open for a attack from minatos toads

Even with FTG Itachi being the king of throwing projectiles, Itachi could altar Minatos kunai with his own

His taijutsu is possibly better along with the Sharingan reading movements
So close range wouldnt be favorable for Minato

And Minato has no long range attack
So either way things dont look good for him

bunta is a boss summon don't compare him to that summon. And nagato is using that summon mainly for shared vision and not for combat hence he stand still

Not really biased, both are my favorite characters. Though there is not possible way to know if he is able to realize he is in a gen quickly, most of his actions in the fight against Tobi and Raikage show incredible split second reactions and strategies.

Well, then we go "why Tobi didnt caught him in gen?", the reason may be because he didn't had the time to activate the gen. Minato will not stand still and let Itachi take command of the fight, he will take the first charge. As you have seen, Itachi was trying to lay eye contact on Sasuke before, and he needed to turn his eyes at quick speed even with 3T, Minato's speed will be as hard to see as Bee's eight sword style. Do not under any circumstances over estimate the sharingan, it was enough to slow down the speed of naruto in one tail, but Minato has faster spontaneous movements (though he wouldnt win against naruto in a race, Im just meaning his spontaneous acceleration from one side to another is faster).

At last, I never said Itachi was slow, I was just saying that he is not even near what Minato is, though he still holds his ground as a fast character.
