Itachi VS Minato (Not a VS Thread)

One of the many complaints about filler anime at the moment, is that it is delaying madara's Debut.
So, would all these complaints be around if, instead of this filler war, they had a totaly illogical showdown between itachi and minato. Would everyone still complain then?

Kishimoto killed off Edo Itachi before rezzing Minato so they never could fight. He would piss off half his fan base regardless the outcome.
