Itachi wins this

--kisame lacks a good counter for Amaterasu, he lacks the speed to evade it, and his samehada is not managing to absorb it as well,,

--once itachi brings out his susnaoo, he can overwhelm kisame through his susanoo slashes and YM, as well as totsuka

--itachi can also manage to close the distance between kisame seeing how both of them prefer to fight at CQC,, and through that itachi can end kisame with tsukuyomi

Itachi takes it with Tsukuyomi. Of course, this might be hard since Kisame has intel. But Kisame fighting while looking at Itachi's feet might also be the end of him. Only Guy could do that.

Not a fan of Itachi and I think Kisame is a better ninja, but genjutsu has Kisame beat(advanced sharingan genjutsu i mean)

Tough Fight but I'll say Itachi wins I guess. Though an argument could be made for Kisame.

Itachi of course

Lol. You make it sound like it's gonna be easy. If Kisame avoids genjutsu then he will most likely win. He has to do it up close though, or from distance which he does have great jutsu for, Itachi may be tired out, how's he gonna get over 1000 sharks and not be? Kisame is his partner so I'm sure he'd know not to look. And there's the water dome and GSB, I think it depends on many things of how the battle will end

Itachi's stamina and chakra alone fails to Kisame's. We know how him and sasuke like to exhaust themselves in minutes, the Uchiha brothers have something in common. Not that I don't like them because I do, but it's true

Itachi wins amaterasu

If he uses it right away, I think not, Kisame is one to send barrages of attacks and dealing damage. Itachi might not be able to use it at all if he was fighting kisame up close due to samehada taking chakra. Sasuke has also been shown to avoid Amaterasu by running, Sasuke's is far better, and Gyuki was speedy enough to block it too, so it's not completely unavoidable. Kisame's arsenal may be too much. I switched sides because everyone is taking itachi btw.

ultimately, kisame cant avoid totsuka & yata, while tsukiyomi & superior clone efficiency would temper his aggression allowing such a conclusion as the former 2.

itachi wins

Also, Itachi. Because. He's Itachi.

OT: Itachi may not be the best physically, but he relies on his highly superior mental capabilities. He's usually, if not always, one step ahead of his opponent. He won't carelessly spam his Tsukuyomi and amaterasu and susanoo unless he finds a perfect time to counter Kisame's move. Remember, Itachi is more on the counter-attack side rather than purely offensive, unlike Kisame, who is more on the offensive side. You can't really beat the master of genjutsu.

Ultimately, his intelligence and wisdom brings him ahead of the pack. Itachi wins mid diff.

Itachi with medium difficulty. Didn't Kisame canonically admit inferiority?
