Eh, there was a big debate about who actually did it - Tenten or Asuma. Some translators got involved, and the consensus was that Asuma did it, but regardless, it still shows that someone as fast as Itachi can pick off masks with clones and his fire releases, which are themselves quite big. He doesn't need Susano'o, like many seem to think.

I beg to differ that was definitely Tenten you can even see the wind from the Fan from a previous panel..she also comments on taking it down...it only makes sense it was that fan which did it..and the anime even has it as the fan not Asuma surely tey wouldnt slip up that bad.

Mmh, like I said, the translation varies. The anime bit is interesting, but for me, the main bit was looking at the panel. You can see that when the mask is hit, the burst seems to be coming from it's left. If you look dead ahead, you can see Tenten. So while she may have curved the jutsu around, I tend to think of it as Asuma's friendly fire coming out of nowhere.

Look at the panel above where Tenten is speaking she is shown swinging the fan and the wind is curving...its clearly her doing it. Asuma was on a previous page not even on the same page it had nothing to do with it.

What the hell? No. Manga disagrees. He already used it much longer than 30 seconds on top of using other jutsu vs Sasuke.

All that's needed to fire off Amaterasu is a look at the opponent. Unless you are saying he will never be able to look at them....which is a load of nonsense.
