I'm not even an Itachi fan, if you knew me- i've created most of the Itachi hate threads on this website. Kakashi cannot defeat Itachi, bloodlust is a theoretical factor in anime that doesn't actually change anything. You're saying he didn't go all-out on Pain? An opponent that was hunting his student and destroying his treasured village? The Jinchuuriki? He had kamui and see where it got him. Kakashi bloodlust doesn't exist if he doesn't have the capabilities. Kakashi knew the trick to avoid Itachi's most basic genjutsu and STILL got caught in it, even at the core basis of Kakashi's character- he got caught in his most basic jutsu. No amount of kamui would've changed that, and everybody on this thread knows it.

So tell me tough guy, why did Kakashi use all those intricate jutsus on Pain when he could have Kamui'd his head off?

There's this thing called good writing and plot. If Kakashi would have just *****slapped Pain with a Kamui to the face SM Naruto would have effortlessly solo'd that fight, making Pain a joke. Kakashi had to die to make Pain more interesting and make it look like his death was worth it ( saving Choji who had intel on the 5 sec cooldown of Deva, which is what gave Naruto the win. )

Kakashi is superior to Itachi in ninjutsu and stamina, which is what wins a fight. Itachi's taijutsu and shurikenjutsu won't matter, since Kakashi's sharingan takes care of that.

Genjutsu? Sharingan sees through, seeing as how Kakashi pulled a draw with Obito in genjutsu, whom is superior to Itachi at it.

Mangekyou? Kakashi's is so much better.

Well, "tough guy" (jesuschrist) The second you bring 'plot' into a theoretical debate about 2 characters and their capabilities you admit you've lost. Every character get's affected by plot- all of my favourite characters were affected by the plot. Kabuto took a rasengan to the chest, it's silly- because this kid is a genin but it happened. Kabuto was being cocky and didn't expect such an action. Kakashi looked into Tsukiyomi because he thought he was smart and had figured it out but he hadn't. Plot isn't a sufficient excuse.

Idgaf about your opinion on this. You can go ahead and disagree with me, but you can't prove that I am wrong. Kakashi used half of his chakra for a raiton bunshin when a kamui to the face would have costed less.

That's not plot, that's lack of intel.

Kakashi knew nothing about MS back then. He thought it was a regular genjutsu, which is why he told the others to close their eyes while he looked with his sharingan at Itachi.
