Itachi wins with izanami because it was said to counter izanagi. If you restrict that then Danzo wins because I don't think Itachi can outlast Danzo and even if he can there is KA 5 mins in the fight

itachi loses big time. izanami wont work because he needs to replicate the same physical sensation twice engaging in physical combat. but he cant tank attacks like with kabuto. if he takes fuuton sword its over. if he is merely TOUCHED its over (juinjutsu). if he waits too long its over. i cant think of a reason why itachi could ever win this.

because itachi stands no chance and is weaker than his brother. only reason sasuke even survived that was tobis presence, karins presence, danzos tendency to be a jobber and become stupid for the plots sake like lecturing sasuek when he had him in curse seal, and the lack of shisuis eye availability. which oneshots anyone.
izanami from what we know about it is useless against a long range shinobi. hell useless in battle in general. danzo touches him once then retreats with fuuton bullets covering his escape. then waits for the curse seal to take effect. once it does, its over.
danzo did indeed penetrate sasukes susano. tobi said using his ms techs so much is overdoing it and sasuke needed to fight without susano as well using hawk summon. itachi has horribel stamina. he complained he was tired after two tsukiyomis and one small amaterasu in part 1. and add onto the fact shisuis eye trumps anything else. itachi never implanted the other eye so he cant use it whenever he wants

Itachi wins due to his genjutsu which danzo feared and the fact that itachi wins in taijutsu baku(summoning) will be useless and a clone could be used if needed

Itachi was able to make danzo not harm sasuke while he was alive and itachi can dodge all of the attacks made due to his extreme speed while Baku as soon as suction begins will be fireballed and then yagatas take down danzo then itachi dodges till minutes up and simply uses another way to kill him and of course if needed a clone could be used for taijutsu

Itachi was able to make danzo not harm sasuke while he was alive and itachi can dodge all of the attacks made due to his extreme speed while Baku as soon as suction begins will be fireballed and then yagatas take down danzo then itachi dodges till minutes up and simply uses another way to kill him and of course if needed a clone could be used for taijutsu

itachi has to beat danzo on five minutes,izanami takes far too long to use here,we also don't know how much chakra it takes as izanagi takes a large amount of chakra and izanami was it's counter. Edo itachi was dissected thrice before he used it,and he needs to be in close range to continue it,danzo still has izanagi to use for ten minutes,meaning amaterasu,totsuka,tsukiyomi and other techs are useless for ten minutes,danzo was fast enough to use moukton to redirect a susanoo arrow,so his speed is there,he also has hashi's cells so he has high vitality. Itachi can't win this fight,he can't spam ms techs to fight,each one makes him bleed and reduces eyesight. Itachi can't beat danzo.

Danzo's knowledge of Izanami is pivotal. If he knows of it, he'll successfully buy time using Mokuton, Baku and Fuuton based jutsu. If Danzo doesn't know of it, he'll lose after the second or third Izanami (assuming the ones before don't give him a good shot). Seeing as Danzo would use Izanagi to buy time for Kotoamatsukami, like he did in his final fight.

I think Danzo could last 5 minutes against Itachi, then KA.
However, it could go either way, it's just that Danzo has the advantage.

I personally think Danzo is a perfect counter to Itachi and Izanami. Izanami only works on legitimate one time Izanagi users, Danzo's is enhanced, it wouldn't even work on his in the first place.

Anyway with that said Danzo can easily beat Itachi and Itachi has no way to outlast him, Danzo already tore through Sasuke's susano'o and Itachi is even less versatile. He has to sit in Susano'o the entire time to even hope to survive he'll become extremely drained by that time. If Danzo merely touches Itachi he can bind his movements so he'll be frozen in place, decapitation can take place afterwars. I agree with what USSJ said.

also danzou isn't smarter or faster and he couldn't penetrate sasuke susanoo which is weaker than itachi's susanoo ? stop hatin

bad logic. you failed to realize one thing, danzou can't use KA the whole time. in this match danzou is allowed to use KA after 5mins, so basically danzou wins the moment he activate KA.

and I doubt itachi can kill danzou within five mins.. this man got like 10 sharingan to use for izanagi. so stfu

People here seem to forget that Danzo mentioned Sasuke's genjutsu isn't as strong as Itachi's and Sasuke caught him twice in a genjutsu...Also the reaction on Danzo's face when he thought he saw Itachi in that fight.

Overall Itachi has a higher chance of winning this because Danzo hasn't proven that much really. I may be one of those people who overestimate Danzo (usually defend him in 1v1) but this one is just too much for him. If he were to have more "screen time", we might have seen something interesting, but at the moment if you look at Itachi's feats you would have no difficulties picking a winner.

the reaction was like "HOLY SHIT A ZOMBIE" not "well shit. now hes gonna own me". sasuke caught him because sasukes vastly intelligent and cast a weak but subtle genjutsu without danzo noticing. itachis too obvious in his attempts to mind****.

also i don't think chidori long sword is faster than totsuka !

itachi dosen't have that kind of stamina or chakra to heep using susanoo or tsukiyomi or amaterasu,sasuke didnt use the complete susanoo like itachi,and therefore his susanoo wasnt as chakra taxing as itachi's own,and he was still out of chakra near the end of tje fight,had harin not healed him,danzo would have won with shushi's eye,he was still strong enough to dodge a chidori and do a revrse seal before he died,he was fast enough to block a susanoo arrow,i think he can use moukton to block totsuka,itachi can't hope to use his ms jutsus for 10 mins,izanami wont work as danzo is indeed true to himself,sasuke's tsukiyomi should be at least the same level as itachi's other genjutsus,danzo figured out the weakness of the susanoo after just seeing it,he is quite smart,danzo will have KA after 5 mins,he has izanagi for 10 minutes,he has high stamina coupled with hashi's cells,itach has poor stamina and chakra to fight for long. Danzo wins this.
