You're joking right? Itachi has no way of dealing with most of these Pain bodies, never mind all at once. Do remember it took Sage Naruto's very specific jutsu & skills, 3 Giant Toads, Konoha, Hinata AND the Kyuubi to defeat all of the Pains, and even then- it was BARELY.

+Also is genjutsu like tsukiyomi even going to work on Pain? They're dead corpses.

The manga never showed an healthy Itachi in combat, you can't tell his limits therefore he can't be used in vs threads. It wouldn't matter if he's healthy or not because 6POP > Itachi. The problems are the same for Itachi + what numbers said.

Nah. Pain still has counters to his main MS moves: Amaterasu (Preta or S/T), Tsukuyomi (They're dead bodies so it won't affect them), Susanoo (Chibaku Tensei)

Well he can use the Susanoo in the whole fight. This means he can attack continously with the Totsuka sword. I know it's not that simple, but he clearly has better chances with this restriction.

Just because he has more chakra doesn't mean he can use a V4 Susanoo the whole fight. MS techs still deteriorate the eyes along with taking up chakra.

Trying to hit multiple, small targets with Totsuka is a horrible tactic. It only worked on Oro cause he is a large target and because Nagato was immobile. Its not impossible but it isn't certain.

Frog song worked on the Pains, and since they have linked vision with nagato, by putting one under tsukiyomi, he puts nagato under tsukiyomi, thus winning the match
