Itachi can take out every Path except for Deva (not via multiple Amaterasus only like some claim though, that would strain him to the point of blindness and is counter-productive considering he has better ways).
Once he gets to dealing with Deva, he has no counter to CT that doesn't fall under speculation, so he loses. The core has no other durability indications in the manga aside from the combo attack it took to destroy it during the Nagato fight, a destructive power which Itachi cannot produce.
