Mei alone would be a huge threat. Hiding in the Mist Jutsu + Lava would force Itachi into the defensive from the get go and drain a considerable amount of energy from him.
Replace Mei's lava with Onoki's Jinton and you have a potencial 1HKO match.
Nevermind about Ay who could potencially solo and Tsunade who would be a pain in the ass to take down and deal with as well.
At least Gaara was left out Lol

Im not going to go into detail but i think mei has the potential to beat itachi...not saying she will win, but she could.

she avoids getting one-shotted by amaterasu or tsukuyomi with the hidden mist jutsu

now itachi can't see her since the mist is in the way so he can't land a hit on her with amaterasu. and he can't make eye contact with her through the thick mist either. so genjutsu and amaterasu are a no-no. mei knows not to look into itachi's eyes so sharingan can distinguish chakra by its color, but that doesn't matter since it's canon that the sharingan can't see through the mist

Some people say that katons are a hard counter to mist and will blow them away. in actuality they will do nothing except add heat and smoke, making it even harder for itachi to see. katons are countered by suitons anyway lol

anyway, moving on to offense. how does mei kill itachi?

Flood the area with acidic mist. this KKG mist is extremely deadly and will start to painfully burn itachi just like it burnt his brother, and perhaps melt his lungs and cause internal damage if the stuff is inhaled. since it isn't a pinpoint attack (and since there's already normal mist in the air) itachi wouldn't be able to see where it's coming from or detect mei.

To counter this itachi will probably put up a ribcage susanoo. but alas, it is to no avail since the fog melts right through it.

So to defend himself Itachi will have to pull out V4 Susanoo, which for the benefit of doubt i'll assume cannot be melted by the mist.

So what Mei could do is

1 - wait until itachi runs out of juice and dies from overusing susanoo
2 - spits oceans of lava at him. UZMAKIMADARA made a good thread about how Sasuke's susanoo cannot tank lava, so it would be the same case with Itachi. Here's the link;

-Tsukuyomi is irrelevant since he isn't going to make eye contact from 100m away, especially not when Mist is up.

-If he's using any Susanoo below V3, Ay and Onoki would simply punch it away just like they did to Madara's. He can't hit them with Amaterasu because Ay is too fast, and he can't hit them with any kind of Ocular Genjutsu since he won't be following a Lightened Ay's movements let alone making eye contact. If he's using a Susanoo above V3, then Ay only needs to get Onoki to safe enough position where he can use Jinton to eradicate Susanoo.

-If they don't use the Ay Onoki combo, and go for Super Jinton, he dies since he won't be able to evade or counter with Amaterasu due to the mist, nor will he tank it.
