Itachi is immenssly underrated! No ones seen everything he can do, plus, in the original naruto manga, i think season 7 in the anime, he beats kakashi with no trouble at all. Kakashi is noo easy opponent since Jiraya said "kabuto can go toe to toe with kakashi" in season 8, and now we can see what hes really capable of. So! if this didnt make any sense heres the short version. kabuto = kakashi< itachi back in the original. they all have only gotten stronger so! nobody really knows what itachi can do now. especially since hes edo

I completely agree that this needed addressing. Itachi is one of the most memorable characters and yet people toss the name around in pathetic threads. I find it rather despicable that people just make threads to ask who would win in a fight in the first place. They need to realize it's not who beats who and their overly arrogant minds don't seem to get the picture...

I so agree, I actually made an account to address the simple fact that people underrate ITACHI and overrate KAKASHI way to much, ITACHI clearly owned KAKASHI in 1 second, also kakashi said he would lose from orochimaru during the chunin exams and we saw ITACHI own OROCHIMARU yet again in 1 second ... so yeah Itachi > Kakashi BIG TIME

In character, Itachi was the best in the whole manga. As far as abilities? Great, but only decent comparatively. Power without stamina means very little. His backstory is truly one of the most developed though, Prodigy, Kinslayer, Diseased, and Saintly Brother. One of my favorite characters in any manga anywhere, to be sure.

Yes, Itachi is powerful.. otherwise Kishi wouldn't have let him fight one of the greatest villains in Naruto right now.

i mean the real villain that doesnt seek for real peace or the moon eye plan...

Do you know why Itachi is way more overrated than underrated. Because people simply overrate his Abilities and act like he is invincible. They act like the MS hasn't got a weakness where you lose chakra and can potentially lose your eyesight. People spare the little bio about his MS, because EACH ability he does he loses.

E.g When he does Tsukuyomi he loses a lot of chakra and can make his vision blurred.
Now Itachi IS a powerful Ninja, he has great abilities, yes but his Fans simply ignore the drawbacks of his abilities.

Your comment "Overrated? Hands Up if you think he can beat Kakashi" Yes he can beat Kakashi, but that doesn't stop him from being overrated at all. You seen a 'few' threads to claim that he is underrated, but the majority act like he's invincible. Better yet Itachi is one of the most popular Characters on Naruto and his name is nearly always on the Hottest Threads or Most Popular Theeads of the Week. He gets enough credit. The people who say he hasn't are overrating, or haven't been on here enough.

EVERY Character on this Show is underrated and overrated to an extent, even the most powerful when Fanboys make them seem invincible. Didn't Itachi quote that everyone has a weakness or their ability could be countered someway or another.

I'm just tired of the Fanboyism that declares Amaterasu is an instant kill, and that Tsukiyomi is unbreakable. Koto Amatsukami was UNBREAKABLE. Anybody with excellent chakra control and a large amount of chakra could break Tsukiyomi.

the tsukiyomi you stated is about sasuke's but not itachi's.
itachi's tsukiyomi is differrent from sasuke's which he can manipulate time and mass.

Itachi stated that Tsukuyomi can only be broken by a Sharingan user that shares the same blood as him; as demonstrated when Sasuke overcame Itachi's Tsukuyomi in their battle.
