Minato has higher stamina, inteligence, better jutsu, and was hokage.

He was also OP as **** during his time, taking on armies by himself, and having a flee on sight order from enemies. Itachi ran away from Jiraiya when it was 2v1. :|

the majority of people itachi has faced has had more stamina than him, itachi is the most intelligent character, and itachi has the better jutsu, and what does being a hokage have to do with anything??? kage get solo'd to by non-kage....


itachi intention was to fight had it been he would have killed kakashi but didnt, and even when itachi decided not to fight, kisame still argued with itachi saying " i cat take him but itachi u surely... " and well kisame even said he himself couldnt take jiraya but boy im sure everyone agree's kisame > jiraya so dnt use part 1 logic because part 1 < part 2 as we are seeing...


when minato can stop tsukoyami that he knows nothing about then come holla at me


when minato can destroy a final susano+yata mirror then come holla at me...

think about it like this...when obito was a teenager he attacked the leaf despite minato being the hokage he still did it, but older more experience and more powerful obito never attacked the leaf while itachi was alive because itachi said so...that should tell u itachi is that ***** #Boss

Minato can easily dodge all of Itachi's ninjutsu arsenal fire/water jutsu plus Susanoo attacks fairly easily.
Itachi can easily counter FTG v2 by deflecting kunai in air and base rasengan doesn't break any form of Susanoo.

Similar levels of intelligence.
Minato has good sensing skills, Itachi has the Sharingan's visual prowess.
Minato has better stamina than Itachi but Itachi has a better arsenal of combat oriented techniques.

Minato can arguably counter Amaterasu by teleporting only his body away (leaving the flames behind) or he can sense it and dodge accordingly.
Minato has no known counter for Tsukoyomi.

If Minato gets caught in Tsukoyomi, then Itachi wins.
If Minato outlasts Itachi chakra-wise and doesn't get caught in genjutsu, then Minato wins

edo tensei improved minato past his prime just like madara, alive itachi was considered invincible until he overused his ocular powers so his edo form is basically invincible not only that but he solo'd the war and saved the SA and even saved nartuo and bee along the way, kabuto praised itachi even in his dsm form, nagato praised itachi and even placing him on equal footing with him, too many shinobi have praised itachi even while he is dead...

Itatch didn't want to fight jiraiya due to the fact that him and kisame would make a scene and probably create a war of their own considering the mission was to capture naruto and knowing kisame he would have killed sasuke and killed a few of the leafs jonin (not might gai he's a beast) and itachi would have been forced to kill to keep his cover.

so he avoided that fight by saying to kisame that they would get their backsides handed to them if they were to fight jiraiya.

Yea you are right, genjutsu is Itachi's biggest advantage over Minato, and if Itachi starts off with Tsukoyomi or another visual genjutsu (like the paralysis one that soloed Orochimaru) and it hits, he would most likely take the win.
