you're right but don't forget that some people horribly overrate the Sannin

imo outside Zetsu, Hidan and Konan every Akatsuki stands a good chance of soloing... Obito and Nagato are the ones who could definitely beat them with mid difficulty at most
the only dangerous person is Jman with his SM but it takes a lot of time

Orochimaru can use attack prevention technique to merge himself with the ground, then he can get him self out of the water sphere.

He could use multiple striking shadow snakes to pull himself to the ground, but yes Kisame could move the dome.

Against foes like these, the summons of the Sannin are close to useless. Both of the Akatsuki have effective ways to take out the summons, such as the Totsuka no Tsurugi, [

] all of which would result in the defeat of the summon hit. In this case, the size of the summons would put them at a disadvantage. I shouldn't have to go any deeper into this, as this should be clear to most.

I honestly don't see the Sannin getting to the Akatsuki in this match up, with their summons being useless in this scenario. Tsunade's strength is rendered useless against Itachi's Taijutsu proficiency and Sasori's immunity to physical attacks, [

] meaning that her role in this match would mainly be to support her two teammates. However, there isn't too much her two teammates can do either.

Orochimaru's battle style mainly revolves around either using his snake summons or the Kusanagi no Tsurugi to get to his opponents through long range attacks. This would however, not be too effective against Itachi and Sasori, especially considering Sasori's knowledge on Orochimaru and his moves. Most of his snake summons would be effectively countered by the attacks of the Satetsu such as the Satetsu Kesshū [

] Another sufficient counter would be the Hyakki no Sōen [

] which would be able to effectively overwhelm the snakes, seeing as the attacks and poison of the snakes would be ineffective against the lifeless bodies of the Puppets. The Kusanagi would be countered by his immunity against metallic weapons, a trait of the Jiton. [

] would also be an effective way of fighting against the snakes, and Orochimaru himself.

Out of the three Sannin, Jiraiya would probably possess the greatest threat to the Akatsuki duo. However, his moves can be dealt with. The Yomi Numa can be handled by utilizing the sheer size and strength of the Susano'o, or the attributes of the Satetsu, and his Katon would be dealt with with Suiton and Satetsu. The real threat coming from Jiraiya is his Sennin Mōdo. However, once Itachi pulls out the Susano'o, he won't be able to do much. His attacks are rendered useless by the Yata no Kagami, and in the end, his speed is not great enough to defend against attacks like the Amaterasu or Satetsu Shigure. The Frog Genjutsu can be taken care of, simply due to the fact that it takes time for the full effects to take place. Itachi and Sasori, recognizing the fact that it's a Genjutsu, would without a doubt quickly resort to one of their faster moves, such as the moves mentioned above.

Shortly put, the Akatsuki duo has counters for all of the Sannin moves. However, this isn't the case with the Sannin. Jiraiya and Tsunade are both vulnerable to the Amaterasu, while Orochimaru has the Ryū no Kawarimi to counter it. However, none of the Sannin have a counter for Sasori's poison, nor a way to continuously escape the Satetsu Shigure and Kaihō. The summons of the Sannin are rendered useless, and most of their attacks are comfortably rendered useless by the duo's defensive techniques. If needed, Itachi can pull out the Susano'o, and completely negate the Sannin's possibility of winning. In the end, they'll lose.

This fight could go either way as everything we comment doesn't happen that way.
Itachi would be confronted by Jiraiya and Orochimaru and Tsunade with Sasori.
Jiraiya would and should activate Sage Mode.
He should then do Kekkei: Gama Hyoro which will make him sense anything inside the barrier, making him extremely dangerous.
But on the other hand, Itachi could go Susanoo. Itachi's fireballs could be blocked but it could also hit.
Along with Orochimaru, Jiraiya could be able to launch attacks along with his technique that could make him spy on a person as a shadow or even control one with this.
Orochimaru's Eight Branches Technique is extremely powerful. Orochimaru also has Senjutsu.
Itachi would have a little bit of trouble here but since it is against 2 persons, I think J-man and Oro could take this with the right combination unless Itachi could cast a genjutsu on them.
Susanoo is useful yet his stamina is low, so the best bet he could defeat these two is by using genjutsu, some ninjutsu and his weapons.
Yes, Yata Mirror blocks all attacks but not in a 360-degree position.
Totsuka Sword could be countered by speed.
This 2 versus 1 battle decides it all, if J-man and Oro wins, Sannin wins but if not, the duo.
