He met with Tobi around this time for as yet unknown reasons.[6] Before Shisui Uchiha was killed, Danzō took and implanted his right Sharingan[7] and later his arm into his own body.

Seriously? -.- There were only a handful of Uchiha, only with few knowing Sharingan. Compared to the hundreds of leaf shinobi (Some very good), the Uchiha would lose quickly, even with Itachi. He may have Mangekyo (Idk if I spelled it right) but he could only use it for a little while, he was not as strong as he is now back then. :scorps:

They have been planning the coup for a while now, they wouldn't listen to Itachi if he said not to do it. All that planning, and then just to give up? I don't think so. The only alternative path was Shisui, and he couldn't do it because his eye was taken.

Yeah, i do understand that the situation seems quite screwed up in his case, and i also understand the point of view ur coming at.... but personally, i believe that itachi did the right thing, even if it ment to make the ultimate sacrifice of killing his family, along with his entire clan (except Sasuke of course). he made this decision based on the fact that he would rather wipe out a clan, than to let them wipe out an entire nation over the terms of war. more lives would have been lost over the war (not to mention families) than the uchiha clan massacre. he also excepted the only upside to danzou's terms, which is to spare his brother's life, the Anbus are after all an organization created to resolve the most complex issues, even if it ment to use drastic terms. the chore that itachi had to bare with him along with the pain he suffered from this violent memory made me respect him highly for the favor he did, even if the people from the village werent notified of the truth. after forfilling his mission, he still continued to keep both the village, and his brother safe from harms way, by maintaining to keep the truth for so long. so u've heard my point of view, but if u continue to stand on ur current postion, then i respect that, not everyone has the same point of view
