if you haven't notice itachi likes to play mind games with everybody and even he admitted that he lost himself
itachi damaged orochimaru mind for lust of itachi's own body
itachi knew orochimaru wanted his body but still kept abusing him(in this way itachi actions made orochimaru want itachi even more and this is itachi own doing)
this doing of itachi created the orochimaru of today to figure out what is itachi heritage and this sperated tsunade and jiriaya from orochimaru and also made orochimaru want sasuke.
kabuto
even kabuto admired itachi because of his power and this obseesion created two people who just wanted power like itachi who are orochimaru and kabuto and this fetish will only grow stronger to create the kabuto of today and itachi abuses kabuto one last time with genjutsu like orochimaru.
sasuke abuse
in sasuke case itachi created two abusers orochimaru and kabuto who will just want to have sasuke body and peer pressure him into giving it up with this mind control battle of sasuke.
sasuke loved itachi just as much as orochimaru and kabuto did
later on itachi keeps messing with sasuke feelings so you know there is something deep
but in the end itachi plays with everyone that loved him and is the master manipulator of the love game with his tricks
